For we know, that if our earthly boufe of this Tabernacle were diffolved, we have a Building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the Heavens.

And in this being burdened, we groan earnestly; defiring to be cloathed upon with our House which is from Heaven. I Cor. 5. I, 2, 4. For the Lord Jefus fhall change this vile Body, and fashion it like unto his own glorious Body. Phil. 3..

Bleffed are the Dead which Die in the Lord: for they reft from their Labours, and their Works do follow them. Rev. 14. 13. The time of my Departure is at band.

I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the Faith.

Henceforth there is laid up for me a Crown of Righteousness, which the Lord the Righteous Judge fhall: give me at that Day. 2 Tim. 4. 6, 7, 8.

And therefore for me to Die is Gain.

And I have a Defire to depart, and to be with Chrift, which is far better. Phil. 1. 21, 23.

Against Fear of Death.

A Submission to the Sentence of Death.

Lord my God, in most profound Humility of Soul and Body, I caft my Self at the feet of thy Divine Majefty, Adoring thee as my Sovereign Judge. Who haft pronounced. against Me and all Sinners, (in the first Man that finned) the Sentence of Death, faying, Dust thou art, and unto Duft fhalt thou

return.

In Homage of thy Divine Juftice, I humbly fubmit to the Sentence then pronounced againft Me, and all Mankind.

All the Days of my appointed time will I wait, till my Change come. Job 14. 14.

2. A Submission to the Manner
of Death.

AND as to the Time,

Place, and Manner, and slewell. all Circumstances of my Death, I defire to fubmit to thy good Pleasure.

But I humbly beg, if it be thy gracious Will, O Lord, Make my Pains fhort, and my Death eafy At least, not extremely tedious, or grievous to

me.

But if thou haft otherwife determined, thy Blessed Will be done.

Only give me Patience to bear my Pains, and Spiritual Comforts under them; and at thine own due time, make my Death my Paffage to a Bleffed and Eternal Life; through Jefus Chrift our Lord. Amen..
