Refolved, That it is the opinion of this committee, that a duty of 15. be paid for every fkin or piece of vellum or parchment, or piece or fheet of paper, on which ch fhall be engroffed or written, during the time aforefaid, any affidavit, except fuch affidavits as fhall be taken before the officers of his Majesty's customs or excife, or any juftice or juftices of the peace, or before a magiftrate of any corporation acting as a juftice of the peace, or acting in any Court of Confcience or fummary jurifdiction, or before any judge of aflize or commiffion of Oyer and Terminer, relative to profecutions on trials or indictments, or to civil bills, or that thall be made for the purpofe of raifing or accounting for public money, and except affidavits made relative to the hempen and flaxen manufactures, or to the payment of corn premiums, or made before the truftees of any turnpike relative to the roads or tolls of fuch turnpike, or affidavits made before the Dublin Society. And that a duty of is. be paid for every skin or piece of vellum or parchment, or piece or sheet of paper, upon which any copy of fuch affidavit as is herein before charged, that thall be filed or read in any court whatfoever, fhall be engroffed or written, during the time. aforefaid.

Refolved, That it is the opinion of this committee, that a duty of is. be paid for every fkin or piece of vellum or parchment, or piece or fheet of paper, on which fhall be engroffed or written, during the time aforefaid, any original writ (except fuch original upon which a writ of capias iffues) fubpoena, writ of capias quo minus, writ of dedimus poteftatem to take anfwers, examine witneffes or appoint guardians, or any other writ whatsoever, or any other process or mandate that fhall iffue out of or pafs the feals of any of the courts at the city of Dublin, or any other court whatfoever holding plea where the debt or damages doth amount to forty fillings or above, or the thing in demand is of that value..

Refolved, That it is the opinion of this committee, that a duty of 1s. be paid for every fkin or piece of vellum or parchment, or piece or fheet of paper, on which fhall be engroffed or written, during the time aforefaid, any entry of any action in the mayor's and fheriffs courts of the city of Dublin, and in courts in all corporations and other courts whatfoever, out of which no writs, procefs or mandate iffue, holding plea where the debt or damage doth amount to forty fhillings of

Refolved, That it is the opinion of this committee, that a duty of is. be paid for every skin or piece of vellum or parchment, or piece or theet of paper, on which fhall be engroffed or written during the time aforefaid, any copy of fuch rules or orders (except in caufes profecuted upon indictments, or which relate to prefentments) entered, or the copies of any other records or proceedings in any of the faid courts of the city of Dublin, not hereby otherwife charged.

Refolved, That it is the opinion of this committee, that a duty of Is. be paid for every fkin or piece of vellum or parchment, or piece or fheet of paper, on which fhall be engroffed or written, during the time aforefaid, any citation or monition made in the prerogative court, or in any ecclefiaftical courts, or any libel or allegation, depofition, anfwer, fentence or final decree, or any inventory exhibited in the prerogative court, or in any ecclefiaftical court, or the Court of Admiralty, or whereupon any copies of them refpectively fhall be engroffed or written, except in fuits for recovery of feamens wages.

Refolved, That it is the opinion of this committee, that a duty of is. be paid for every kin or piece of vellum or parchment, or piece or fheet of paper, on which fhall be engroffed or written, during the time aforefaid, any charter party, policy of affurance, paffport, bond, releafe, contract, or other obligatory inftrument, or any proteft, procuration, letter of attorney, or any other notarial act whatsoever.

Refolved, That it is the opinion of this committee, that a duty of id. be paid for every fkin or piece of vellum cr parchment, or piece or fheet of paper, on which fhall be engroffed or written, during the time aforefaid, any depofitions taken in the Court of Chancery or Court of Exchequer, except the paper draughts of depofitions taken by virtue of any commitfion before they are engroffed, which are not herein before charged.

Refolved, That it is the opinion of this committtee, that a duty of id. be paid for every skin or piece of vellum or parchment, or piece or fheet of paper, on which fhall be engroffed or written, during the time aforefaid, any copy of any bill, anfwer, plea, demurrer, replication, rejoinder, interrogatories, depofition or other proceedings whatsoever taken in the Court of Chancery or Court of Exchequer, or in any Court of Equity.

Refolved, That it is the opinion of this committee, that a duty of 24. be paid for every fkin or piece of vellum or parchment, or piece or fheet of paper, on which fhall be engroffed or written, during the time aforefaid, any copy of any will attested by the proper officer of the prerogative Court, or any ecclefiaftical Court.

Refolved, That it is the opinion of this committee, that a duty of 2d. be paid for every fkin or piece of vellum or parch ment, or piece or fheet of paper, on which fhall be engroffed or written, during the time aforefaid, any declaration, plea, replication, rejoinder, demurrer, or other pleadings whatfoever in any court of law, or any copy thereof.

Refolved, That it is the opinion of this committee, that a duty of 4d. be paid for every fkin or piece of vellum or parchment, or piece or fheet of paper, on which fhall be engroffed or written, during the time aforefaid, any certificate or debend ture for drawing back any cuftoms or duties for or in refpect of the reshipping or exporting of any goods or merchandizes which at any time or times, from and after the 25th day of December, 1783, to the 25th day of March, 1785, inclufive, fhall be exported, or fhipped to be exported from the kingdoni of Ireland for any parts beyond the feas, to be paid by the perfon for whose benefit or at whofe inftance fuch debenture or certificate fhall be obtained.

Refolved, That it is the opinion of this committee, that a duty of 1d. be paid, during the time aforefaid, for every alma nack or calendar for any one particular year, or for any time lefs than a year, which fhall be printed on one fide only of any fheet or piece of paper only; and of 24. for every other, almanack or calendar for any one particular year, and that for every almanack or calendar made to ferve for feveral years, the refpective rates aforefaid fhall be paid for every fuch year..

Refolved, That it is the opinion of this committee, that there be paid, during the time aforefaid, for all papers containing public news, intelligence or occurrences, a duty of one halfpenny for every fheet, or piece of paper lefs than a fheet, on which fuch news, intelligence or occurrences fhall be printed.

Refolved, That it is the opinion of this committee, that there be paid, during the time aforefaid, for every pamphlet or paper not exceeding fix fheets in octavo, or in a leffer page, or not exceeding twelve fheets in quarto, or twenty fheets of folio, fo printed, a duty after the rate of is. fterling for every fheet of any kind of paper which fhall be contained in one printed copy or impreffion thereof.

Refolved, That it is the opinion of this committee, that there be paid, during the time aforefaid, a duty cf 64, for every advertisement to be contained in or published with any gazette, newspaper or journal, to be published weekly or oftner, or in any other printed paper or pamphlet whatsoever, being difperfed or made public yearly, monthly, or at any other interval of time.

Refolved, That it is the opinion of this committee, that for and upon every piece of vellum, parchment or paper, on which fhall be engroffed or written the admiflion of any ftudent or barrifter into the fociety of king's inns, there fhall be paid a duty of 51.

Refolved, That it is the opinion of this committee, that the following duties fhall be paid for and upon all French wines imported into this kingdom from the 25th day of December, 1783, to the 25th day of March, 1785, inclufive: if filled and imported by natives 33. 75. if filled and imported by firangers 34. 105. 4d, if unfilled and imported by natives 31. 15. if unfilled and imported by ftrangers 327. 25. by the tun for every tun thereof, and fo in proportion for any greater or lefs quantity; the said duties to be paid down in ready money net, without any discount or allowance, and to be in lieu and full fatisfaction of all custom, excife and other duties payable to his Majefty for the fame by any act or acts of parliament heretofore made in this kingdom.
