And in our awful darkness, Lord,
Dem'd half the word untrue. 5 But now its inward sense
Is open'd to the mind;
And living waters find.
For light and truth divine !
And be the glory thine!
HYMN 183. P. M.
Universal Praise to the Creator.
E angels that surround the throne,
's name is known,
To sing creating love. 2 But
the children of his love, Who have been callid to mount above,
From sin and sorrow too:
Your song is always new.
And humbly try to sing,
Adored be my King."
Of universal grace :
poor Gentile with the Jew, Shall see his Saviour's face,
5 Then may all Adam's fallen race,
And branches of one vine,
When all their brethren join.
Light shining out of Darkness,
His wonders to perform ;
And rides upon the storm. 2 Deep in unfathomable mines
Ol never failing skill,
And works bis sovereign will.
The clouds, you so much dread, Are big with mercy, and shall break
In blessings on your head.
But trust him
He hides a smiling face. 5 His purposes will ripen fast,
Unsolding ev'ry hour;
But sweet will be the flow'r. 6 Blind unbelief is sure to err,
And scan bis work in vain'; God is his own interpreter,
And he will make it plain.
HYMN 185. O. M.
Where'er I stay or rove,
Encircled with thy love.
Nor fear'd thy holy Name,
Thy hand preserv'd my frame.
My life I owe to thee;
Thy love abounds to me.
Thy dealings all are love;
My soul for heav'n above.
In all his righteous ways;
HYMN 186. L. M.

HAT wonders bath Jehovah wrought,
How great the price by which we're bought, The all of love and truth divine,
In our redemption sweetly join. 2 The beams of love descend, and bring Ten thousand blessings from our King;

And all the songs that angels raise;

The boundless goodness of our King !
And potes beyond the angels' songs;

HYMN 188. C. M.
The Seasons ordained by God,
Obeys thy pow'rful nod;
Declares the present God.
2 Wak'd by thy voice, out steps the spring,
In living green new drest;
Thy beauties stand confest.
Nor do the hours delay;
Beneath his rip'ning ray.
And spreads a common feast; He that regards bis fav’rite, man,
Will not neglect the beast.
Aod shows her furrow'd brow,
How awful, Lord, art thou !
Obeys thy pow'rful nod ; Each season, as it silent moves,
Declares the present God.
HYMN 189. L. M.
Seed-time and Harvest. THE rising morn, the closing day,
Repeat thy praise with grateful voice; Both in their turns thy pow'r display,
And laden with thy gifts rejoice.
All smiling round, thy bounty show;
Thy rich diffusive blessings flow.
Which thy indulgent hand prepares ;
And answers all the sower's cares.
And through the ridges gently flow,
