Of the labourers in the vineyard, etc. OR the kingdom of heaven is like unto a man that is an householder, a which went out early in the morning to hire labourers into his vineyard.

2 And when he had agreed with the labourers for a penny b a day, he sent them into his vineyard. 3 And he went out about the third hour, and saw others standing idle in the market-place,

23 And he saith unto them, Yet shall drink indeed of my cup, and be baptized with the baptism that Lu.23.1,&c. I am baptized with; but to sit on Jno. 18.28. my right hand, and on my left, is Ac.3. 13. not mine to give, but it shall be given to them for whom it is prepared of my Father.

The wicked husbandmen.

ND Jesus answered and spake

A unto them again by parables, and said,

2 The a kingdom of heaven is like unto a certain king, which made a b marriage for his son,

3 And c sent forth his servants to call them that were bidden to the wedding: and they would not come. 4 Again, he sent forth other servants, Saying, Tell them which are bidden, Behold, I have prepared my dinner: my oxen and my fatlings are killed, and all things are ready: come unto the marriage.

40 On these two commandments c hang all the law and the prophets. 41 While the Pharisees were gathered together, Jesus asked them,

Woes denounced.

23 Wo unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! fors ye pay tithe of mint and 2 anise and cummin, and have omitted the weightier matterst of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the

other undone.
