The Author is a disciple of Isaac Walton, and in this capacity he sets forth, rod in hand, with an imaginary companion, to follow the stream from its source at Axeknoller, near Beaminster, until it falls into the Sea at Haven Cliff, below Axmouth, describing the historical points of interest with occasional passages on Otter-hunting and other sports. This (fourth and last) edition has been entirely rewritten, and contains nearly four times as much matter as the Third Edition.
