But Song Games, Room Games, and Playground Games of the kind mentioned could never have converted Filipinos from head hunting, nor can they convert or restrain from hoodlumism, from 'bumming,' from 'rushing the drunks,' from street fighting, and from other undesirable gang activities, the boys who begin to participate in these things long before the elementary school age is passed and the high school age is reached." Investigation revealed that "school plays and games interested children (in their spare time) for only fifteen minutes in two days.
