* That they may rest from their labours.' THE saints of God! their conflict past, m 3 The saints of God! life's voyage o'er, And life's long battle won at last,

Safe landed on that blissful shore, No more they need the shield or sword; No stormy tempests now they dread,

They cast them down before their Lord : No roaring billows lift their head: mf O happy saints! for ever blest, mf O happy saints! for ever blest At Jesus' feet how safe your rest!

In that calm haven of your rest! m 2 The saints of God! their wanderings done, mp 4 The saints of God their vigil keep

No more their weary course they run, While yet their mortal bodies sleep, No more they faint, no more they fall, Till from the dust they too shall rise, No foes oppress, no fears appal :

And soar triumphant to the skies: mf O happy saints! for ever blest, of O happy saints! rejoice and sing; In that dear home how sweet your rest!

Hequickly comes, your Lord and King. mp 5 O God of saints, to Thee we cry:

O Saviour, plead for us on high ;
O Holy Ghost, our Guide and Friend,

8 g Grant us Thy grace till life shall end,

That with all saints our rest may be
In that bright Paradise with Thee.

Followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises.'

FOR
VOR all Thy saints, O Lord,

Who strove in Thee to live,
Who followed Thee, obeyed, adored,

Our grateful hymn receive.
2 For all Thy saints, O Lord,

Accept our thankful cry,
Who counted Thee their great reward,

And strove in Thee to die.
3

They all, in life and death,

With Thee, their Lord, in view,
Learned from Thy Holy Spirit's breath

To suffer and to do.
4 Thy mystic members fit

To join Thy saints above,
In one unmixed communion knit,

And fellowship of love.
mp 5 For this Thy name we bless,

And humbly beg that we
May follow them in holiness,

And live and die in Thee.

Through gates of pearl streams in the countless host,
Singing to Father, Son, and Holy Ghost,

'Hallelujah!'
