All officials of cities and towns belonging to the League of Kansas Municipalities are entitled to the use of the Information Bureau, maintained in connection with the Secretary's office. Information will be furnished on subjects relating to municipal affairs, and copies of ordinances will be loaned.

OBJECTS OF THE LEAGUE

To perpetuate and develop the League as an agency for the cooperation of Kansas cities in the practical study of city affairs.

To promote the application of the best methods in all branches of municipal service, by holding at least one convention annually for the discussion of problems in city administration, and by circulating information and experience thereon.

To secure legislation which would be beneficial to the cities of the state, and the citizens thereof, and to oppose legislation injurious thereto.

MEMBERSHIP AUTHORIZED BY LAW

Any city of the first, second or third class, whether under government by mayor or council, or under government by a board of commissioners, may by ordinance appropriate money out of the general fund to pay the annual dues in the League of Kansas Municipalities not to exceed annually $5.00 per each one thousand population or fraction thereof, of such city of the first, second or third class, and to pay the actual expenses of not more than two delegates to the meeting of such League. Chapter 82, Laws of 1913.

FEES AND DUES

Any city in Kansas desiring to become a member of this league may do so upon signifying

a desire to do so and the payment of the annual dues.

The dues for each city shall be based upon population as given by the state census taken in 1910 and every five years thereafter. They shall be payable upon the first of July in each year. The dues for each city shall be as follows:

Less than 1,000 population.

1,000 to 5,000.

5,000 to 10,000.

10,000 to 20,000.

20,000 to 50,000. ver 50,000.
