This road will extend from Gilman, at which point the Chicago Branch of the Illinois Central Railroad is intersected by the Toledo, Peoria and Warsaw Railroad. to Clinton, on the main line of the Illinois Central Railroad, and thence to Springfield, the State capital. In connection with the Chicago Branch of the Illinois Central and the Chicago and Alton Railroads, it will form a very direct line between Chicago and St. Louis.
