During the month of October there were received at the Library, by purchase, 1,313 volumes and 623 pamphlets; by gift, 1,288 volumes and 2,792 pamphlets; and by exchange 111 volumes and 147 pamphlets, making a total of 2,712 volumes and 3,562 pamphlets. There were catalogued 3,243 volumes and 3, 180 pamphlets; the number of cards written was 7,494 and of slips for the copying machine 5,645; from the latter were received 29,712 cards.
