Applications to the Secretary of the Treasury, to cause satisfaction to be entered upon judgments against insolvents under the act of the 2d of March, 1831, and the acts for the relief of certain insolvent debtors of the United States.

New York February 22, 1836 The Secretary of the Treasury, on the 31st of March, 1836, authorized satisfaction to be entered

on this case; the district judge of the United States, in and for the southern district of New
York, having given the certificate required by the 4th section of the act approved the 7th of June,
1834, to revive and amend the aforesaid acts of the 2d of March, 1831, and the 14th of July, 1832,
for the relief of certain insolvent debtors of the United States, and the consent in writing of
William Warner, a party in the judgments against the said Pierre, thereto having been duly
given and filed, and the attorney of the United States for the said district having no knowledge
of any objections to the same.

New York February 27, 1836 Satisfaction authorized to be entered in this case, March 31, 1836; the said district judge having
given the certificate required by the 4th section of the said act of June 7, 1834, and William
Warner, a party in the judgments against the said Felix, having duly given and filed his consent
in writing thereto, and the attorney of the United States for the said district knowing of no ob-
jection to the same.

SIR: In compliance with a resolution of the House of Representatives of the 23d ult., I have the honor to enclose a statement of the names of the officers of the navy who have, during the year 1836, received orders for service, and have asked to be excused, together with the reasons offered by them for such indulgence.

Severe illness of his father-in-law at his house.

Detached the 20th December at his request, and without further reason than the assent of his immediate commander.

Being administrator for the estates of his father and brother-in-law, which
estates were about being settled, &c."

Excused at his request-supported by his immediate commander, Commo-
dore H. E. Ballard.

Excused from an apprehension that the duty assigned to him by the com-
mandant of the yard might place him under the orders of a junior lieu-

tenant.

Length of sea service, and his recent return from sea. Unable to attend to duty from bad health,

Urgent circumstances, and a statement that he had never before asked such a favor, and that he had never left a ship on a foreign station.

Accepted the order under the belief that he was to have the command of
the vessel, but finding that he was superseded by a senior lieutenant, he
asked for a revocation of his order.

Excused on account of lameness contracted whilst attached to the Dela-
ware 74.

Excused on account of the delicate state of his health, and request for a fur-
