* Mr. Justice MULKEY became Chief Justice at the June term, 1885. Mr. Justice DICKEY died in July, 1885, and Hon. BENJ. D. MAGRUDER was elected on November 3, 1885, for the unexpired portion of the term for which Mr. Justice DICKEY had been elected.

Hon. SIMEON P. SHOPE was elected June 1, 1885, for the full term of nine years, as successor to Mr. Justice TUNNICLIFF.
