3 To thee all angels cry aloud,

Through heaven's extended coasts; Hail, holy, holy, holy God

Of glory and of hosts!

4 The Prophets' goodly fellowship, In radiant garments drest,

Praise thee, thou Son of God! and reap The fulness of thy rest.

5 The Apostles' glorious company Thy righteous praise proclaim! The martyr'd army glorify

Thy everlasting name!

6 Through all the world thy churches join To acknowledge thee their Head, Brightness of majesty divine,

Who every power hast made.

7 Among their number, we delight
To sing thy precious blood:

Reign here, and in the worlds of light,
Thou holy Lamb of God.

(ACTS V. 31.)

1 BRETHREN, let us join to bless
Jesus Christ, our joy and peace!

Let our praise to him be given,
High at God's right hand in heaven.

2 Thee the angels ceaseless sing,
Thee we praise, our Priest and King:
Worthy is thy name of praise,
Full of glory, full of grace.

3 Thou hast the glad tidings brought
Of salvation by thee wrought:
Wrought for all thy church! and we
Worship in their company.

4 We, thy little flock, adore
Thee, the Lord, for evermore!
Ever with us shew thy love,
Till we join with those above.

JES

(HEB. vi. 18.)

ESUS, lover of my soul,
Let me to thy bosom fly,
While the nearer waters roll,
While the tempest still is high:
Hide me, O my Saviour, hide,
Till the storm of life be past:
Safe into the haven guide,
O receive my soul at last.

Other refuge have I none;
Hangs my helpless soul on thee;
Leave, ah! leave me not alone;
Still support and comfort me.
All my trust on thee is stay'd;
All my help from thee I bring;
Cover my defenceless head
With the shadow of thy wing.

Thou, O Christ, art all I want;
More than all in thee I find:
Raise the fallen, cheer the faint,
Heal the sick, and lead the blind.

Just and holy is thy Name;

I am all

unrighteousness:

Vile, and full of sin I am;
Thou art full of truth and grace.

Plenteous grace with thee is found,
Grace to pardon all my sin:
Let the healing streams abound,
Make and keep me pure within.
Thou of life the fountain art,
Freely let me take of thee:
Spring thou up within my heart,
Rise to all eternity.

ORD, what is man! extremes how wide,
In this mysterious nature join!

The flesh to worms and dust allied,
The soul immortal and divine!

2 Divine at first, a holy flame
Kindled by the Almighty's breath:
Till stain'd by sin, it soon became
The seat of darkness, strife, and death.

3 But Jesus-Oh! amazing grace!-
Assum'd our nature as his own;
Obey'd and suffer'd in our place,
Then took it with him to his throne.

4 Now what is man, when grace reveals
The virtue of a Saviour's blood?
Again a life divine he feels,

Despises earth, and walks with God.

5 And what, in yonder realms above,
Is ransom'd man ordain'd to be?
With honour, holiness, and love,
No seraph more adorn'd than he.
6 Before the throne, and first in song,
Man shall his hallelujahs raise;

1

While wondering angels round him throng, And swell the chorus of his praise.

ORD of mercy and of might,
Of mankind the life and light,

Maker, Teacher, Infinite!

Jesus, hear and save!

2 Strong Creator, Saviour mild, Humbled to a mortal child, Captive, beaten, bound, reviled;

Jesus, hear and save!

3 Throned above celestial things, Borne aloft on angels' wings,

Lord of Lords, and King of Kings,

"Jesus, hear and save!

4 Soon to come to earth again, Judge of angels and of men, Hear us now, and hear us then!

1 HARK, the herald angels sing

Glory to the new-born King!

Peace on earth and merey mild,
God and sinners reconcil'd.

2 Joyful all ye nations rise,
Join the triumphs of the skies:
Nature, rise and worship him
Who was born at Bethlehem.

3 Hail, the heaven-born Prince of Peace!
Hail, the Sun of Righteousness!
Light and life around he brings, o bat.
Risen with healing in his wings.

4 Mild he lays his glory by,
Born that men no more may
Born to raise the sons of earth,
Born to give them second birth.

5 Come, Desire of Nations, come, 103
Fix in us thy humble home;
Rise, the woman's conquering seed,...
Bruise in us the serpent's head.

6 Adam's likeness now efface, Stamp thine image in its place; boord Second Adam from above, Reinstate us in thy love.
