The honourable Isaac Tichenor, appointed a Scnator by the legislature of the State of Vermont, for the term of six years, commencing on the 4th day of March last; the honourable Nathan Sanford, appointed a Senator by the legislature of the State of New-York for the term of six years, commencing on the 4th day of March last; the honourable James J. Wilson, appointed a Senator by the legislature of the State of New-Jersey, for the term of six years, commencing on the 4th day of March last; the honourable James Barbour, appointed a Senator by the legislature of the State of Virginia, for the term of six years, commencing on the 4th day of March last; the honourable George W. Campbell, appointed a Senator by the legislature of the State of Tennessee, for the term of six years, commencing on the 4th day of March last; the honourable John Williams, appointed a Senator by the legislature of the State of Tennessee, for the term of two years, in place of the honourable George W. Campbell, resigned; the honourable Benjamin Ruggles, appointed a Senator by the Legislature of the State of Ohio, for the term of six years, commencing on the 4th day of March last; respectively produced their credentials, which
