KEep, me, O Lord, for I am thine by creation; guide me, for I am thine by purchafe, thou haft redeemed me by the blood of thy Son; and loved me with the love of a Father, for I am thy child by adoption and grace: let thy mercy pardon my fins, thy providence fecure me from the punishments and evils I have deferved, and thy care watch over me that I may never any more offend thee: make me in malice to be a child; but in understanding, piety and the fear of God, let me be a perfect man in Chrift, innocent and prudent, readily turnished and inftructed to every good work.

KEep me, O Lord, from the deftroying Angel, and from the wrath of God: let thy anger never rife against me, but thy rod gently correct my follies, and guide me in thy ways, and thy staff support me in all fufferings and changes. Preferve me from fracture of bones, from noifom, infectious and sharp fickneffes, from great violences of Fortune and fudden furprises: keep all my fenfes intire till the day of my death, and let my death be neither fudden, untimely nor unprovided; let it be after the common manner of men, having in it nothing extraordinary, but an extraordinary piety, and the manifeftation of thy great and miraculous mercy.

O Lord, pardon all my fins, my light and rafh words, the vanity and impiety of my thoughts, my unjuft and uncharitable actions, and whatfoever I have tranfgreffed against thee this day, or at any time before. Behold, O God, my Soul is troubled in the remembrance of my fins, in the frailty and finfulness of my flesh expofed to every temptation, and of it felt not able to refift any. Lord God of mercy I earnestly beg of thee to give me a great portion of thy grace, fuch as may be fufficient and effectual for the mortification of all my fins and vanities and diforders : that as I have formerly ferved my luft and unworthy

Teach me to walk always as in thy prefence Ennoble my foul with great degrees of love to thee, and confign my fpirit with great fear, religion and veneration of thy holy name and laws; that it may become the great employment of my whole life to ferve thee, to advance thy glory, to root out all the accurfed habits of fin, that in holiness of life, in humility, in charity, in chastity and in all the ornaments of grace, I may by patience wait for the coming of our Lord Jefus. Each me, O Lord,to number my days that I may apply my heart unto wisdom, ever to remember my last end, that I may not dare to fin against thee. Let thy holy Angels be ever prefent with me to keep me in all my ways from the malice and violence of the fpirits of darkness, from evil company, and the occafions and opportunities of evil, from perifhing in popular judgments, from all the ways of finfull fhame, from the hands of all mine enemies, from a fintull life, and from despair in the day of my death. Then, O brightest Jefu, fhine gloriously upon me, let thy mercies and the light of thy countenance fuftain me in all my agonies, weakneffes and temptations. Give me opportunity of a prudent and fpiritual Guide, and of receiving the holy Sacrament; and let thy loving Spirit fo guide me in the ways of peace and fafety, that with the teftimony of a good confcience and the fenfe of thy mercies and refreshment, I may depart this life in the unity of the Church, in the love of God, and a certain hope of Salvation through Jefus Chrift our Lord and most blefled Saviour.
