And before him fhall be gathered ALL NATIONS, and he fhall feparate them one from another, as a Shepherd divideth his Sheep from the Goats. And he fhall fet the Sheep on his right Hand, but the Goats on the left. Then shall the King fay to them on his right Hand, Come, ye bleffed of my Father, inherit the KINGDOM prepared for you from the Foundation of the World. 8. But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one Thing, that one Day is with the Lord as a thousand Years,

and a thousand Years as one Day.

9. The Lord is not flack con

10. But the Day of the Lord will come as a Thief in the Night; in the which the Heavens fhall pass away with a great Noife, and the Elements fhall melt with fervent Heat, the Earth alfo, and the Works that are therein fhall be burnt up.

11. Seeing then that all thefe Things fhall be DISSOLVED, what

manner of Perfons ought ye to be in all holy Converfation and God

liness.

12. Looking for, and hafting unto the COMING of the Day of God,

wherein the Heavens being on
Fire, fhall be DISSOLVED, and the

Elements hall melt with fervent
Heat ?

Then fhall he fay alfo unto them on the left Hand, DEPART from me, ye CURSED, into everlafting Fire, prepared for the Devil and his Angels. For I was an hungred, and ye gave me no Meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no Drink: I was a Stranger, and ye took me not in; naked, and clothed ye Sick and in Prifon, and ye vifited me not. Then fhall they alfo answer him, faying, Lord, when faw we thee an hungred, or athirft, or a Stranger, or naked, or fick, or in Prison, and did not minifter unto thee? Then fhall he answer them, faying, Verily I fay unto you, Inafmuch as you did it not to one of the leaft of thefe, ye did it not to me. 14. And the Heaven departed as a Scrowl when it is rolled together; and every Mountain and Ifland were moved out of their Places; 15. And the Kings of the Earth, and the great Men, and the rich Men, and the chief Captains, and the mighty Men, and every Bondfelves in the Dens, and in the Rocks man, and every Free-man hid themof the Mountains;

Ver.1.

HE former Treatife have I made, O Theophilus, of all that Jefus began both to do and teach.

2. Until the Day in which he was taken up, after that he through the HOLY GHOST, had given Commandments unto the APOSTLES whom he had chofen.

3. To whom alfo he fhewed himfelf ALIVE after his PASSION, by many infallible Proofs, being feen of them forty Days, and fpeaking of the Things pertaining to the Kingdom of GOD:

4. And being affembled together with them, commanded them that they fhould not depart from Jerufalem, but WAIT for the PROMISE of the Father, which, faith he, ye have heard of me.

5. For John truly baptized with Water, but ye shall be baptized with the HOLY GHOST not many Days hence. 6. When they therefore were come together, they asked of him, faying, Lord, wilt thou at this Time reftore again the Kingdom to Ifrael?

7. And he faid unto them, It is not for you to know the Times or the Seafons, which the Father hath put in his own Power.

8. But ye fhall receive PowER after that the HOLY GHOST is come upon you: and ye fhall be Witneffes unto me, both in Jerufalem, and in all Judea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermoft Part of the Earth.

9. And when he had spoken thefe Things, while they beheld, he was TAKEN UP, and a CLOUD received him out of their Sight.

10. And while they looked ftedfaftly toward Heaven, as he went up, behold, two Men ftood by them in white Apparel,

11. Which alfo faid, Ye Men of Galilee, why ftand ye GAZING up into Heaven? This fame Jefus, which is ta

ken up from you into Heaven, fhall fo come, in like manner as ye have feen him go into Heaven.

12. Then returned they unto Jerufalem, from the Mount called Olivet, which is from Jerufalem a Sabbathday's Journey.

13. And when they were come in, they went up into an upper Room, where abode both Peter, and James, and John, and Andrew, Philip, and Thomas, Bartholomew, and Matthew, James the Son of Alpheus, and Simon Zelotes, and Judas the Brother of James.

14. Thefe all continued with one accord in Prayer and Supplication, with the Women, and Mary the Mother of Jefus, and with his Brethren.

15. And in thofe Days, Peter ftood up in the Midft of the Disciples, and faid, (The number of the Names tog ther were about an hundred and twenty.)

16. Men and Brethren, this SCRIPTURE muft needs have been fulfilled, which the Holy Ghost by the Mouth of David fpake before concerning Judas, which was guide to them that took Jefus.

17. For he was numbred with us, and had obtained Part of this Ministry.

18. Now this Man purchased a Field with the Reward of INIQUITY, and falling headlong, he burft afunder in the Midft, and all his Bowels gufhed out.

19. And it was known unto all the Dwellers at JerufaZem, infomuch as that Field is called in their proper Tongue, Aceldama, that is to fay, The Field of Blood.

20. For it is written in the Book of Pfalms, Let his Habitation be defolate, and let no Man dwell therein: And his Bishoprick let another take.

21. Wherefore of thefe Men which have companied with us all the Time that the Lord Jesus went in and out

among us,

22. Beginning from the Baptifm of John, unto that fame Day that he was taken up from us, muft one be ORDAINED to be a Witnefs with us of his Resurrection.

23. And they appointed two, Jofeph called Barsabas, who was firnamed Fuftus, and Matthias.

24. And they prayed, and faid, Thou, Lord, which knoweft the Hearts of all Men, fhew whether of these two thou haft chofen.
