INTERSTATE TOURNAMENT IN AURORA. In the tenth annual interstate bowling tournament held in Aurora, Ill., and ending Jan. 1. 1924, the Petersons of Chicago won the five-man event with a score of 2.972. E. Peterson and E. Ricker of Chicago took the doubles event with a score of 1.286. Hank Marino of Chicago took first place in the singles event with a total of 704, and H. Hradek of Chicago was first in the all-events contest with 1.942.

NATIONAL OPEN CHAMPIONSHIP. Cyril Walker of the Englewood (N. J.) Golf club won the national open golf championship of the United States on the links of the Oakland Hills Country club at Birmingham, Mich., June 4-7, 1924, with a score of 297 for the seventy-two holes. pionship tournament was held on the Hills and
Dales park links, in Dayton, O., June 24-28.
1924. The winner of the title was Joe
Coble of Philadelphia, who in the thirty-six-
hole final defeated Henry Decker of Kansas
City 2 up.
