PUBLISHERS' NOTE.

THIS Selection of Poetry first appeared as The School-Girl's Garland," but the universal popularity which it reached, proved this to be a restricted designation; and in issuing this new edition the publishers have given it a title more in accordance with its actual scope. In order to secure for the collection the large sale which its merits deserve, the two volumes of the original edition are here brought into one, and the price of the work has been reduced.
