Paul's calling commended.

ROMANS, II. 6 Among whom are ye also the A. D. 60. called of Jesus Christ:

1Th.4.7.

7 To all that be in Rome, beloved h 1Co.1.2. of God, called h to be saints: Grace i to you and peace, from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ. 1C.1.3, &c. 8 First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for you all, that your k ch.16.19. faith is spoken of throughout the whole world.

9 For God is my witness, whom I serve with my spirit in the gospel of his Son, that without ceasing m 1 make mention of you always in my prayers;

10 Making request, if by any means now at length I might have a prosperous journey by the will n of God to come unto you.

16 For I am not ashameds of the gospel of Christ: for it is the powert of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; u to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

17 For therein w is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith as it is written, z The just shall live by faith.

18 For the wrathy of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;

19 Because that which may be known of God is manifest 4 in them; for God z hath showed it unto them.

20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things a that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; 5 so that they are without excuse:

8 Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin.

9 Cometh this blessedness then upon the circumcision only, or upon the uncircumcision also? for we say that faith was reckoned to Abraham for righteousness.

10 How was it then reckoned? when he was in circumcision, or in uncircumcision? Not in circumcision, but in uncircumcision.

11 Andg he received the sign of

circumcision, a seal of the right

eousness of the faith which he had, yet being uncircumcised; that he might be the father h of all them that believe, though they be not circumcised; that righteousness might be imputed unto them also: 12 And the father of circumcision to them who are not of the circumcision only, but who also walk in the steps of that faith of our father Abraham, which he had, being yet uncircumcised.

13 For the promise, that i he should be the heir of the world, was not to Abraham, or to his seed, through the law, but through the righteousness of faith.

14 For ifk they which are of the law be heirs, faith is made void, and the promise made of none effect:

15 Because the law worketh wrath for where nom law is, there is no transgression.

19 And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness r of Sarah's womb: 20 He staggared not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God;

21 And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was ables also to perform.

22 And therefore it was imputed to him for righteousness.

23 Nowt it was not written for his sake alone, that it was imputed to him:
