A public Anniversary meeting was held in Sep tember 1801, a sermon preached by the Rev. Dr. Stillman, and a contribution of five hundred dol lars collected. Twelve children, supported by the infant Institution, were present. During this year the number of subscribers increased to three hun dred, and considerable donations were received.
