And he is the propitiation for our fins and not for ours only, but alfo for the fins of the whole world. 1 Joh. 2. I, 2.

If we confess our fins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our fins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

And the blood of Fefus Chrift his Son cleanfeth us from all fin. I Joh. 1. 9, 7.

For God fo loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whofoever believeth in him, fhould not perish, but have everlasting life.

For God fent not his Son into the world, to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be faved. Joh. 3. 16, 17.

For the Son of Man is come to fave that which was loft. Matth. 18. II.

Come unto me all ye that labour, and are heavy laden, and I will

give you rest.

Take

Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me, for I am meek and lowly in heart and ye shall find rest unto your fouls.

For my yoke is eafy, and my burden is light. Matth. 11. 28,

They that are whole,

have no

need of the Phyfician, but they that are fick: Icame not to call the righteous, but finners to Repentance. Mark 2 17..

I Say unto you, that joy shall be in heaven over one finner that repenteth. Luk. 15. 7.

The Lord is not flack concerning his promife, (as fome men count ackness) but is long-suffering to us-ward; not willing that any fhould perish but that all should come to Repentance. 2 Pet: 3.9. What shall we fay then to these things? If God be for us, can be against us?

He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all;

how

how shall he not with him alfo freely give us all things?

Who fhall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifieth:

Who is he that condemneth? It is Chrift that Died, yea rather that is rifen again, who is even at the Right hand of God; who alfo maketh Interceffion for us. Rom. 8. 31, 32, 33, 34.

My fheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. And I give unto them eternal life, and they fhall never perish, neither fhall any pluck them out of my hand.

My Father which gave them me, is greater than all: and none is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand.

I and my Father are One. Joh. 10. 27, 28, 29, 30.

There hath no Temptation taken you, but fuch as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not Suffer

fuffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the Temptation alfo make a way to ef cape, that ye may be able to bear it. I Cor. 10. 13.

Becaufe greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world. I Joh. 4. 4.

Simon, Simon, behold Satan hath defired to have you, that he may fift you as wheat:

But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not. Luk. 22. 31,

32.

I pray not that thou shouldeft take them out of the world, but that thou fhouldeft keep them from the evil. Joh. 17. 15.

And the God of Peace hall bruife Satan under your feet fhortly. Rom. 16. 20.

O Death, where is thy Sting? O Grave, where is thy Victory? The fting of Death is Sin; and the strength of Sin is the Law.

But

But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory, through our Lord Jefus Christ. 1 Cor. 15. 55, 56, 57.

Bleed be the God and Father of our Lord Jefus Chrift, which according to his abundant Mercy, hath begotten us again unto a lively hope, by the Refurrection of Jefus Chrift from the Dead,

To an Inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, referved in Heaven for you;. Who are kept by the power of God, through faith unto salvation. I Pet. I. 3, 4, 5.

When the Sick Man hath read and confi dered thefe Comfortable Scriptures, let him then say the following Prayer.
