He who made thefe Glorious Heavens, (for all things were made by him, and without him was not any thing made, that was made. Joh. 1.3.) he is gone before, as a Royal Harbinger, to furnish and prepare them for them for your Reception.

But how these Manfions are prepared and adorned, and what Glories are there Treafured up, for the Ufe or Diverfion of thofe Bleffed Inhabitants, we have not the leaft Notion to conceive or apprehend..

We are as ignorant in thefe. Matters, as an Infant in the Womb is of the Paffages of this World; and of the Way and Manner of Living in it.

Eye hath not yet feen, nor Ear beard, neither hath it entred into the heart of Man to conceive, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. 1 Cor.

For

For he who made us without our Knowledge or Defire, is able to make us happy beyond them both.

This, we fuppofe, the Sick Man firmly Believes, and most earneftly begs of God; That when he leaves this World, he may then be admitted into thofe Heavenly Manfions.

But Natural Affection is fo ftrong, and he hath fuch Concern for his dear Friends and Relations, and doth so please himfelf in their Converfation; that it even breaks his Heart, to be parted from them.

Now, to Correct this Diforder, and to Compose his Dying Thoughts; let the Sick Man confider; That though for a while he parts with his prefent Friends, yet he doth not lofe his Friendship, but exchange it.

For a good and pious Man may be affured; That when he Dies, he fhall find more Friends and Relations in the Heavenly Manfions, than he leaves behind him here on Earth.

For being made meet to be a partaker of the Inheritance of the Saints in light: Being fitted and prepared for fuch endearing Converfation; the Bleffed Company of Saints and Angels, will not only bid him welcome to those Glorious Manfions; but will inftantly receive him, as an intimate Friend, with the dearest Embraces of Love and Affectio on.

When

When the Soul fhall break loofe from a Sickly Decrepit Body, which doth now clog and confine her; Oh! into what excellent Company will fhe then be admitted, When he comes unto Mount Sion, and unto the City of the living God, the heavenly Jerufalem; and to an innumerable Company of Angels; to the general Affembly and Church of the Firft-born, which are written in Heaven; and to God the Fudge of all; and to the Spirits of Just Men made perfect; and to fefus the Mediator of the New Covenant. Heb. 12. 22, 23, 24. Oh! what Blessed Society is here? Who is not transported with the Expectation of it I go, faith your Bleffed Saviour, to prepare a Place for your But I will come again, and receive you unto my felf; that where I am, there ye may ye may be also..

Father, I will that they also whom thou haft given me, be with me where I am; that they may behold my Glory, which thou haft given me. Joh. 17. 24.

For when the Lord himself fhall defcend from heaven with a fhout, with the voice of the Archangel, and with the Trump of God; and the Dead in Chrift fhall rise first: Then we which are alive, and remain, fhall be caught up together with them in the Clouds, to meet the Lord in the Air: and fo fhall we be ever with the Lord. Wherefore, comfort one another with thefe Words. I Theff. 4. 16, 17, 18.
