VOYAGES SCIENTIFIQUES-continued. HISTOIRE Naturelle des Iles Canaries, par BarkerWebb et Berthelot, 58 livraisons, done up in 5 vols. and 7 parts, imperial 4to. with an imperial folio atlas of Maps and Views, the whole containing 239 plates, those on Zoology mostly coloured, (pub. at upwards of 20 guineas) sewed, from the library of the late A. B. Lambert, Esq. £8. 8s Paris, 1836-41

Of this splendid work, published under the immediate patronage of the French Government, 62 numbers have appeared. The authors, after a residence of several years in the Fortunate Islands, returned to Europe with immense collections in every branch of Natural History. In the illustration of their materials they are assisted by several distinguished Naturalists: Valenciennes has undertaken the Fish; Bralé the Insects; Bory de St. Vincent the Ferns; Dr. Montagne the Acotyledenous Plants; and Brongniart, Cordier, Geoffroy St. Hilaire, and Jussieu, have lent their co-operation.
