It is proper to inform the readers of this volume, that the late Rev. Charles Wellbeloved had made a memorandum at the end of his Translation of the Minor Prophets, that he considered it to be in various points susceptible of improvement, and that he hoped, if it were ever published, it would undergo revision. The editor has not scrupled to act upon the author's suggestion, wherever it appeared to him that the labours of subsequent critics had thrown new light on this portion of the sacred writings. J. K.
