*The two sums charged on the 26th and 28th June, marked with an asterisk, amounting to $195,285, were made at the instance of the Treasurer, being bills received of the Morris canal and banking company, for state stock sold, but on the 3d day of August was informed by the Governor and Treasurer, that by a subsequent arrangement the bills were to be returned to New York and drafts at ninety days to be drawn on said company in lieu thereof; the above amount and a subsequent charge on the 13th December of $4,715, will form a sum of $200,000 first received of said company, and in full of February payment.
