SINCE the publication of “ Scripture Topography,” a very elaborate work has appeared, written by the Rev. George Williams, Chaplain to the late Bishop of Jerusalem, on the subject of the antiquities of Jerusalem. Mr. Williams labours to disprove many of the conclusions of Dr. Robinson, of whose incredulity, as regards ecclesiastical tradition, &c., he makes great complaints. But, although it may be an error to be incredulous, it is quite as unsafe to err on the side of credulity—an error from which Mr. Williams's Work appears to be by no means free.
