gnashing of teeth." (Matthew 25:30.) "Cut him asunder, and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth." (Matthew 24: 51.)

For "I say unto you, That many shall come from the east and west, and shall sit down with Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, in the kingdom of heaven: but the children of the kingdom shall be cast out into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth." (Matthew 8:11, 12.)

The end of the world is called the harvest time. Then "the Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity; and shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth." (Matthew 13:

41, 42.)

The process shall be like separating the wheat from the chaff. "So shall it be at the end of the world: the angels shall come forth, and sever the wicked from among the

just, and shall cast them into the furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth." (Matthew 13:49, 50.)

Of the disobedient and self-righteous it shall be said, "Bind him hand and foot, and take him away, and cast him into outer darkness; there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth." (Matthew 22: 13.)

It was disobedience that caused the loss of Paradise. It is disobedience that shuts the doors of Heaven against many and opens the way to destruction. "Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation." (Romans 13: 2.)

"The way of life is above to the wise, that he may depart from hell beneath" (Proverbs 15:24), where "the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death." (Revelation 21:8.) The second death means

eternal separation from God and all that is good; therefore, "he that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; He that overcometh shall not be hurt of the second death."

HEAVEN

"A NUMBER of years ago thousands of people gathered in Old Castle Garden, New York City, to hear the famous Jennie Lind sing the beautiful and sublime compositions of Beethoven and Handel. At the close of the program, the people applauded again and again. Suddenly a thought of home came to the great Swedish Nightingale. She came forth with heart throbs in her melody and sang that simple song, 'Home, Sweet Home,' touching the hearts of her audience as never before. Tears gushed from the eyes of old and young, and that night John Howard Payne, its author, triumphed over the masters of song.'

Heaven is the believers' eternal "Home, Sweet Home." That which has to do with home touches every human heart. Perhaps those to be most pitied in this life are the
