Passed June 19, AN ACT TO INCORPORATE ST. MARY'S SCHOOL OF PAWTUCKET, R. 1.

It is enacted by the General Assembly as follows:

SECTION 1. William Halligan, James L. Smith, Francis McClernan, Patrick Joseph Mulleedy, their associates and successors, are hereby made a corporation by the name of St. Mary's School of Pawtucket, R. I., for the purpose of promoting the cause of education, with all the powers and privileges, and subject to all the duties and liabilities set forth in chapter 152 of the Public Statutes, and in any acts in amendment thereof or in addition thereto.

SEC. 2. Said corporation may take, hold, transmit and convey real and personal estate to an amount not exceeding sixty thousand dollars, which shall be forever exempt from taxation.

SEC. 3. This act shall take effect upon its passage.

Passed June 18, AN ACT TO INCORPORATE "THE NARRAGANSETT BAPTIST

1890.

CHURCH."

It is enacted by the General Assembly as follows:

SECTION 1. George H. Carpenter, Samuel G. Peckham, Charles G. Champlin, Ralph H. Knowles, and Martin L. Saunders, their associates and successors, are hereby made a corporation by the name of "The Narragansett Baptist Church," for the purpose of promoting the worship of Almighty God, with all the powers and privileges, and subject to all the duties and liabilities set forth in chapter 152 of the Public Statutes, and in any acts in amendment thereof or in addition thereto.

SEC. 2. Said corporation may take, hold, transmit and convey real and personal estate to an amount not exceeding fifteen thousand dollars.

SEC. 3. This act shall take effect from and after its passage.

AN ACT IN AMENDMENT OF AN ACT ENTITLED, "AN ACT Passed June 20,
TO INCORPORATE THE CHRISTIAN MISSION IN THE CITY
OF PROVIDENCE," PASSED AT THE JANUARY SESSION, A. D.
1884.

It is enacted by the General Assembly as follows:

SECTION 1. The name of the "Christian Mission" is hereby changed to that of the "Bethel Christian Mission," by which new name said corporation shall be entitled to the same rights and privileges and subject to the same duties and obligations as it has heretofore been entitled and subject to by the name of the "Christian Mission.'

SEC. 2. So much of the act hereby amended as is inconsistent herewith is hereby repealed.

SEC. 3. This act shall take effect from and after its passage.

AN ACT IN AMENDMENT OF AN ACT ENTITLED, "AN ACT Passed June 18,
TO INCORPORATE THE BURNSIDE RIFLE COMPANY,"
PASSED AT THE MAY SESSION, 1860, AND OF THE ACTS IN
AMENDMENT THEREOF AND IN ADDITION THERETO.

It is enacted by the General Assembly as follows:

SECTION 1. Said company is hereby authorized to increase its capital stock from time to time by vote of the corporation: Provided, however, that at no time. shall the capital stock of said company exceed the sum of one million dollars.

SEC. 2. This act shall take effect immediately.

AN ACT TO INCORPORATE THE "BARRINGTON RURAL IM- Passed June 18, PROVEMENT ASSOCIATION."

It is enacted by the General Assembly as follows:

SECTION 1. Irving W. Smith, Geo. T. Baker, L. B. Smith, Frank O. Field, Orrin S. Anthony, John L. Draper, their associates and successors, are hereby made a corporation by the name of the Barrington

Rural Improvement Association, for the following purposes, viz.: to cultivate public spirit, quicken social and intellectual life, improve our roads and public and private grounds, and in general to build up and beautify our country homes, and render Barrington a still more desirable place of residence, with all the powers and privileges, and subject to all the duties and liabilities set forth in chapter 152 of the Public Statutes, and in any acts in amendment thereof or in addition thereto.

SEC. 2. Said corporation may take, hold, transmit and convey real and personal estate to an amount not exceeding five thousand dollars.

Passed June 20, AN ACT TO INCORPORATE THE BURRILLVILLE CLUB OF BURRILLVILLE, RHODE ISLAND.

1890.

It is enacted by the General Assembly as follows:

SECTION 1. E. V. Granger, Warren W. Logee, Eugene C. Griffith, Philip S. Fagan, Francis Fagan and Thomas J. O'Neil, their associates and successors, are hereby made a corporation by the name of the Burrillville Club, of Burrillville, Rhode Island, for athletic and social purposes, with all the powers and privileges, and subject to all the duties and liabilities - set forth in chapter 152 of the Public Statutes, and in any acts in amendment thereof or in addition thereto.

SEC. 2. Said corporation may take, hold, transmit and convey real and personal estate to an amount not exceeding five thousand dollars.

SEC. 3. This act shall take effect immediately upon its passage.

AN ACT TO INCORPORATE THE WESTMINSTER CLUB.

It is enacted by the General Assembly as follows:

SECTION 1. Alonzo H. Warren, Henry P. Babson, and Perry Ralph, their associates and successors, are hereby made a corporation by the name of the West

minster Club, for mutual entertainment and amusement, with all the powers and privileges, and subject to all the duties and liabilities set forth in chapter 152 of the Public Statutes, and in any acts in amendment thereof or in addition thereto.

SEC. 2. Said corporation may take, hold, transmit and convey real and personal estate to an amount not exceeding five thousand dollars.

SEC. 3. The officers of said corporation shall consist of a president, vice-president, secretary, treasurer and board of governors of not less than three members, and such other officers as shall from time to time. seem necessary to this association.

SEC. 4. The said corporation shall have the power to make and establish by-laws and the same to alter and amend; to make rules and regulations for fixing the terms of admission of its members; for the government of the same; for the election and removal of its officers and for the general regulation and management of its affairs as it may deem expedient, and the same to alter and repeal; provided always that such laws and regulations be not inconsistent with the laws of this state or of the United States.

SEC. 5. .This act shall take effect from and after its passage.

AN ACT TO INCORPORATE THE THIRD WARD DEMOCRATIC 1890.
CLUB OF THE CITY OF PROVIDENCE.

It is enacted by the General Assembly as follows:

SECTION 1. Dennis H. Sheahan, Matthew J. Cummings, Louis G. Phillips, their associates and successors, are hereby made a corporation by the name of the Third Ward Democratic Club, of the city of Providence, for the diffusion of correct principles of government and the promotion of political morality, with all the powers and privileges, and subject to all the duties and liabilities set forth in chapter 152 of the Public Statutes, and in any acts in amendment thereof or in addition thereto.

SEC. 2. Said corporation may take, hold, transmit

and convey real and personal estate to an amount not exceeding ten thousand dollars.

Passed June 19, AN ACT IN AMENDMENT OF AN ACT TO INCORPORATE COURT FIDELITY No. 6,626, ANCIENT ORDER OF FORESTERS."

It is enacted by the General Assembly as follows:

SECTION 1. Section 1 of "An act to incorporate Court Fidelity, No. 6,626, Ancient Order of Foresters," passed at the January session of the general assembly, A. D. 1887, is hereby amended to read as follows:

"SECTION 1. John J. Heffernan, John F. Mulvey, James Q. Downie, James Mullen, William McCanna, Joseph T. Bouley, Jean Baptiste Lasalle, their associates and successors, are hereby made a corporation by the name of Court Fidelity, No. 6,626, Ancient Order of Foresters of America, for mutual benefit and charitable purposes, with all the powers and privileges, and subject to all the duties and liabilities set forth in chapter 152 of the Public Statutes, and in any acts in amendment thereof or in addition thereto."

Passed June 19, AN ACT TO INCORPORATE THE PORTUGUESE BENEVOLENT AND CHARITABLE ASSOCIATION OF RHODE ISLAND.

It is enacted by the General Assembly as follows:

SECTION 1. Josie Paulino, Francisco Pereira, Jose Jacintho Amaral, Jose Rodrigues, Manoe! Green, Manuel Jose Rivers, Jose Silveira Dutra, Jose d' Rosa, Joao Ignacio Silveira, Jacintho Ignacio and Jose Periera de Mello, their associates and successors, are hereby made a corporation by the name of the Portuguese Benevolent and Charitable Association of Rhode Island, for the purpose of promoting and fostering the virtues of charity and benevolence in the state of Rhode
