Passed June 20, RESOLUTION amending resolution passed April 25, 1889, entitled, "Resolution making an appropriation for the erection and furnishing of a building for chapel, school and dormitory purposes at the State Home and School."

Resolved, That the sum of two thousand five hundred dollars, or so much thereof as may be necessary, of the fifteen thousand dollars appropriated under and by a resolution passed April 25, 1889, entitled, "Resolution making an appropriation for the erection and furnishing of a building for chapel, school and dormitory purposes," be and the same is hereby appropriated for the completion and furnishing of a cottage at the State Home and School, in addition to the sum already appropriated therefor, under the direction of the State Board of Education, and the state auditor is hereby directed to draw his orders upon the general

treasurer for said sum, or such portion thereof as may be required, out of any money in the treasury not otherwise appropriated, upon the presentation of properly authenticated vouchers.

PROCLAMATION BY HIS EXCELLENCY JOHN W. DAVIS. GOVERNOR.

WHEREAS, the General Assembly adjourned on Friday, May 30th, ult., leaving certain important acts of general legislation under consideration, the determination of which are matters of great public interest,

Now, THEREFORE, I JOHN W. DAVIS, Governor of the State of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations, pursuant to the provisions of Section 7 of Article VII. of the constitution of the State, do issue this my procla mation convening the General Assembly of this State to meet at the State House in Providence, on TUESDAY, JUNE 17, A. D. 1890, at 11 o'clock A. M., to take such action as they may deem advisable in the premises.

And I do hereby call upon the members of both branches thereof to assemble in their respective chambers at the time and place aforesaid.
