Na the mean time, when there tethered together an innumerable multitude of people, insomuch that they trode one upon another, he began to say unto his disciples first of all, Beware ye of the leaven of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy.

2 Forb there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; neither hid, that shall not be known.

23 The life is more than meat, and the body is more than raiment.

24 Consider the ravens : y for they neither sow nor reap; which neither have store-house nor barn; and God feedeth them: how much more are ye better than the fowls? 25 And which of you with taking thought can add to his stature, one cubit?

26 If ye then be not able to do that thing which is least, why take ye thought for the rest?

27 Consider the lilies, how they grow; they toil not, they spin not, and yet I say unto you, that Solomon in all his glory was not array ed like one of these.

28 If then God so clothe the grass, which is to-day in the field, and tomorrow is cast into the oven; how much more will he clothe you, O ye of little faith?

57 Yea, and why even of z yourselves judge ye not what is right? 58¶ When y thou goest with thine adversary to the magistrate, as thou art in z the way, give diligence that thou mayest be delivered from him; lest he hale thee to the judge, and the judge deliver thee to the officer, and the officer cast thee into prison. 59 I tell thee, thou shalt not depart thence, till thou hast paid the very last 5 mite.

17 And sent his servant at supper time to say to them that were bidden, Come; for all things are now ready.

18 And they all with one consent began to make excuse. The first m said unto him, I have bought a piece of ground, and I must needs go and see it: I pray thee have me excused.

19 And another said, I have bought five yoke of oxen, and I go to prové them I pray thee have me excused.

20 And another said, I have marriedn a wife, and therefore I cannot come.

21 So that servant came, and showed his lord these things. Then the master of the house, being angry, o said to his servant, Go out quickly into the streets p and lanes of the city, and bring in hither the poor, q and the maimed, and the halt, and the blind.

22 And the servant said, Lord, it is done as thou hast commanded, and yet s there is room.

23 Ånd the lord said unto the servant, Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel t them to come in, that my house may be filled.

24 For I say unto you, That none u of those men which were bidden shall taste of my supper.

25 And there went great multitudes with him: and he turned, and said unto them,

26 If any man come to me, and hatev not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life w also, he cannot be my disciple.

27 And whosoever æ doth not bear his cross, and come after me, cannot be my disciple.
