7 How shall we do for wives for them that remain, seeing we have sworn by the LORD that we will not give them of our daughters to wives?

8 T And they said, What one is there of the tribes of Israel that came not up to Mizpeh to the LORD? And behold, there came none to the camp from Jabesh-gilead g to the assembly.

9 For the people were numbered, and, behold, there were none of the inhabitants of Jabesh-gilead there. 10 And the congregation sent thither twelve thousand men of the valiantest, and commanded them, saying, Goh and smite the inedge of the sword, with the woinen habitants of Jabesh-gilead with the and the children.

12 And they found among the inhabitants of Jabesh-gilead four hundred young 2 virgins that had known no man by lying with any male; and they brought them unto the camp to Shiloh, k which is in the land of Canaan.

7 And she said, I pray you, let me glean and gather after the reapers among the sheaves: so she came, and hath continued even from the morning until now, that she tarried a little in the house.

8 Then said Boaz unto Ruth, Hearest thou not, my daughter? Go not to glean in another field, neither e go from lience, but abide here fast by my maidens:

9 Let thine eyes be on the field that they do reap, and go thou after them have I not charged the young men that they shall not touchf thee? and when thou art athirst, go unto the vessels, and drink of that which the young men have drawn.

10 Then she fell g on her face, and bowed herself to the ground, and said unto him, Why have f found grace in thine eyes, that thou shouldest take knowledge of me, seeing I am a stranger?

11 And Boaz answered and said unto her, It hath fully been shewed meh all that thou hast done unto thy mother-in-law since the death of thine husband: and how thou hast left thy father and thy mother, and the land of thy nativity, and art come unto a people which thou knewest not heretofore.

12 The LORD recompense i thy work, and a full reward be given thee of the LORD God of Israel, under whose wings thou k art come to trust.

13 Then she said, 3 Let me find m

favour in thy sight, my lord; for that

thou hast comforted me, and for that thou hast spoken 4 friendly unto thine handmaid, though I be not like unto one of thine handmaidens.

14 And Boaz said unto her, At meal-time come thou hither, and eat of the bread, and dip thy morsel in the vinegar. And she sat beside the reapers: and he reached her parched corn, and she did eat, and was sufficed, and left.n

15 And when she was risen up to glean, Boaz commanded his young men, saying, Let her glean even among the sheaves, and 5 reproach

21 And Ruth the Moabitess said, He said unto me also, Thou s shalt keep fast by my young men, until they have ended all my harvest.

22 And Naomi said unto Ruth her daughter-in-law, It is good, my daughter, that thou go out with his maidens, that they 7 meet thee not in any other field.

23 So she kept t fast by the maidens of Boaz to glean unto the end of barley-harvest and of wheatharvest and dwelt with her mother-in-law.
