whatsoever of logwood of the growth or produce of the British fettlements in America or the Weft Indies, provided the fame be exported in British or Irish shipping, nor upon any lead ore exported to Great Britain.

Refolved, That it is the opinion of this committee, that from and after the 25th day of December, 1783, an allowance be paid on the exportation of all ftuffs made in Ireland of filk only, after the rate of 15. 74. the pound weight avoirdupois; and of all filks and ribbons made in Ireland of filk mixed with gold and filver, after the rate of 25. 1. per pound weight; and of all filk stockings, filk gloves, fringes, laces, ftitching and sewing filk made in Ireland, after the rate of 8d. per pound weight; and of all stuffs made in Ireland of filk and grogram yarn, after the rate of 444. per pound weight; and of all ftuffs made in Ireland of filk mixed with inkle or cotton, after the rate of 6d. the pound weight; and of all stuffs made in Ireland of filk and worsted, after the rate of 34. per pound weight; and of all wrought or manufactured gold or filver plate made in this kingdom, after the rate of 6d. for every ounce Troy weight.

Refolved, That it is the opinion of this committee, that all and every perfon or perfons who fhall, from and after the 25th day of December, 1783, import directly from America or the West Indies, in any fhip or veffel belonging thereto, or to Great Britain or Ireland, and manned as in fuch cafe is usual, any good and merchantable indigo, free from any falfe mixtures, and fit for dyers ufe, being the growth or product of the colony from whence the fame fhall be imported, shall have and be entitled to a reward or premium for fuch importation, after the rate of 25. 2d. for every fix pounds weight thereof, and fo in proportion for any greater or lefs quantity.

Refolved, 'That it is the opinion of this committee, that from and after the 25th day of December, 1783, all duties whatsoever paid on the importation of any callicoes or muflins fhall be fully drawn back and repaid for all fuch as fhall be printed, ftained, or dyed in this kingdom or Great Britain, and shall be afterwards exported from hence to any place, except to any British colony or plantation in America or the Weft Indies, and if the same shall be exported to any fuch colony or plantation, then that all faid duties fhall be fully drawn back and repaid, except fo much thereof as fhall amount to a fum after the rate of 51. 8. 4d. for every 100l. value thereof, as the fame shall have been fold by the candle at the Eaft India Company's fales in London, and so in proportion for any greater or lefs quantity.

Refolved, That it is the opinion of this committee, that all goods, wares and merchandizes imported from the British fettlements on the coaft of Africa fhall pay the fame and no other duties as the like goods imported from the British plantations in

America fhall be subject to, except where it is otherwife particularly provided, and that a like amount of duty be drawn back on their exportation from this kingdom.

Refolved, That it is the opinion of this committee, that the 6d. per pound, and all other fees which shall or may be payable to the Vice-Treafurer or Vice-Treasurers, Receiver or Paymaster General, Clerk of the Pells, or any other officer or officers of this kingdom, for or on account of the iffuing or payment of any fum or fums which fhall be received for or on account of the faid fevetal aids hereby granted to his Majefty, or for or upon iffuing any fum or fums of money which fhall or may be borrowed pursuant to any act of parliament or vote of credit this feffion of parliament, be applied towards raifing the fupply granted to his Majefty.

Kefolved, That it the opinion of this committee, that towards raifing the fupply granted to his Majefty, there fhall for the feveral and refpective things herein-after mentioned, which fhall be written or engroffed, the feveral and refpective rates, impofitions, charges and fums of money be raised, levied, collected and paid unto his Majefty, his heirs and fucceffors, from the 25th day of December, 1783, to the 25th day of March, 1785, inclufive.

Refolved, That it is the opinion of this committee, that a duty of 6. be paid for every fkin or piece of vellum or parchment, or piece or sheet of paper, on which shall be engroffed or written, during the time aforefaid, any difpenfation to hold two ecclefiaftical dignities or benefices, or both a dignity and a benefice, or any other difpenfation or faculty from the Lord Archbishop of Armagh, or mafter of the faculties for the time being.

Refolved, That it is the opinion of this committee, that a duty of 6. be paid for every skin or piece of vellum or parchment, or piece or sheet of paper, on which shall be engrossed or written, during the time aforefaid, any grant or letters patent under the great feal of Ireland, of any honour, dignity, promotion, franchife, liberty or privilege to any perfon or perfons, bodies politic or corporate, or exemplifications of the fame (commiílions of rebellion in procefs always excepted.)

Refolved, That it is the opinion of this committee, that a duty of 6. be paid for every fkin or piece of vellum or parchment, or piece or fheet of paper, on which fhall be engroffed or written, during the time aforefaid, any grant from his Majesty, his heirs, or fucceffors, or any fum of money exceeding 200l. which fhall pass the great feal of Ireland.

Refolved, That it is the opinion of this committee, that a duty of 61. be paid for every fkin or piece of vellum or parchment, or piece or fheet of paper, on which fhall be engroffed or written, during the time aforefaid, any grant of any office or employment which fhall be above the value of 200l. per annum.

Refolved, That is the opinion of this committee, that a duty of 31. be paid for every fkin or piece of vellum or parchment, or piece or fheet of paper, on which fhall be engroffed or writ ten, during the time aforefaid, any pardon (except the pardon paffed in forma pauperis) of or for any crime or offence, or of any fum of money or forfeiture whatsoever, or on which any warrant or reprieve, relaxation from any fines, corporal punishment or other forfeiture, fhall be engroffed or written.

Refolved, That it is the opinion of this committee, that a duty of 31. be paid for every skin or piece of vellum or parchment, or piece or fheet of paper, on which fhall be engroffed or written, during the time aforefaid, any grant from his Majesty, his heirs or fucceffors, of any fum of money not exceeding 200l. nor less than 100l. which fhall pafs the great feal of Ireland.

Refolved, That it is the opinion of this committee, that a duty of 3. be paid for every skin or piece of vellum or parchment, or piece or fheet of paper, on which fhall be engroffed or written, during the time aforefaid any grant of any office or employment which shall be above the value of 50l. per annum, and under the value of 200.

Refolved, That it is the opinion of this committee, that a duty of 3. be paid for every fkin or piece of vellum or parchment, or piece or sheet of paper, on which shall be engroffed or written, during the time aforefaid, any admiffion of any fellow of the college of phyficians, or of any attorney, clerk, advocate, proctor, notary or other officer or officers in any court whatfoever, except fuch officer be an annual officer in any corporation or inferior court, whofe office is under the value of 10. a year in falary, fees or other perquifites, or any appeal from the court of Admiralty or Prerogative Court, or from any Archiepifcopal Court.

Refolved, That it is the opinion of this committee, that a duty of 21. be paid for every fkin or piece of vellum or parchment, or piece or fheet of paper, on which fhall be engroiled or written, during the time aforefaid, any grant of lands in fee, lease for years, or other grant of profit not herein particularly charged, that shall pass the great feal of Ireland, or the feal of the Exchequer, cuftodiam leafes excepted.

Refolved, That it is the opinion of this committee, that a duty of 21. be paid for every fkin or piece of vellum or parchment, or piece or fheet of paper, on which fhall be engroffed or written, during the time aforefaid, any presentation or donation which fhall pafs the great feal of Ireland, or upon which any collation to be made by any archbishop or bishop, or any presentation or donation to be made by any patron whatfoever, of or to any benefice, dignity or fpiritual or ecclefiaftical promotion whatioever, of the value of 100l. a year or upwards, the value to be afcertained by the certificate of the archbishop or bishop, or

vicar-general of the diocefe, provided always that two or more benefices, epifcopally united, fhall be deemed and taken to be one benefice only.

Refolved, That it is the opinion of this committee, that a duty of os. be paid for every skin or piece of vellum or parchment, or piece or fheet of paper, on which shall be engroffed or written, during the time aforefaid, any exemplification of what nature whatfoever that shall pass the feal of any court whatfoever,

Refolved, That it is the opinion of this committee, that a duty of 10s. be paid for every skin or piece of vellum or parchment, or piece or fheet of paper, on which fhall be engroffed or written, during the time aforefaid, any inftitution that thall pafs the feal of any archbishop, bishop, chancellor or other ordinary or ecclefiaftical court whatfoever, provided that an inftitution to two or more benefices epifcopally united, fhall be confidered as to a fingle benefice.

Refolved, That it is the opinion of this committee, that a duty of 5. be paid for every skin or piece of vellum or parchment, or piece of fleet of paper, on which fhall be engroffed or written, during the time aforefaid, any conveyance, furrender of grants or offices, releafe or other deed whatfoever, which shall be enrolled of record in any of the courts of the city of Dublin, or in any other court of record whatsoever.

Refolved, That it is the opinion of this committee, that a duty of 5. be paid for every ikin or piece of vellum or parchment, or piece or fheet of paper, on which fhall be engroffed or written, during the time aforefaid, any writ of error, certiorari or appeal, except to the delegates.

Refolved, That it is the opinion of this committee, that a duty of 5. be paid for every skin or piece of vellum or parchment, or piece or fheet of paper, on which fhall be engroffed or written, during the time aforefaid, any fentence that shall be given in the court of Admiralty, or any attachment that shall be made out of the faid court of Admiralty, or any relaxation of any fuch attachment.

Refolved, That it is the opinion of this committee, that a duty of 55. be paid for every fkin or piece of vellum or parchment, or piece or fheet of paper, on which fhall be engrolled or written, during the time aforefaid, any probate of a will, or letters of adminiftration for any eftate above the value of 30'.

Refolved, That it is the opinion of this committee, that a duty of 5s. be paid for every skin or piece of vellum or parchment, or piece or fheet of paper, on which shall be engroffed or written, during the time aforefaid, any recognizance conditioned for the payment of money or performance of covenants

or agreements, ftatute staple or ftatute merchant, or entered of record in any court, or office, except fuch recognizances as shall be entered into by perfons applying for licenfes to fell by retail beer, ale, wine, ftrong waters or other liquors, which recognizances fhall be confidered as bonds, and fhall pay accordingly.

Refolved, That it is the opinion of this committee, that a duty of 55. be paid for every fkin or piece of vellum or parchment, or piece or theet of paper, on which fhall be engroffed or written, during the time aforefaid, any record of nifi prius or poftea.

Refolved, That it is the opinion of this committee, that a duty of 5. be paid for every fkin or piece of vellum or parch. ment, or piece or fheet of paper, on which thall be engroffed or written, during the time aforefaid, any writ of entry for fuffering a common recovery.

Refolved, That it is the opinion of this committee, that a duty be paid, during the time aforefaid, for every skin or piece of vellum or parchment, or piece or fheet of paper, on which fhall be engroffed or written any judgment whatfoever which fhall be figned by the mafter of any office or his deputy or fecondary, or by any prothonotary or his fecondary, deputy or clerk, or any other officer belonging to any of the courts at the city of Dublin, who have power or ufually do or fhall fign judgments, after the rate of 5s. for every judgment engroffed or written on fuch fkin or piece of vellum or parchment, or piece or fheet of paper.

Refolved, That it is the opinion of this committee, that a duty of 5s. be paid for every fkin or piece of vellum or parchment, or piece or fheet of paper, on which fhall be engroffed or written, during the time aforefaid, any commiffions iffuing out of any ecclefiaftical court not herein otherwife particularly charged.

Refolved, That it is the opinion of this committee, that a duty of 5. be paid for every fkin or piece of vellum or parchinent, or piece or fheet of paper, on which fhall be engroffed or written, during the time aforefaid, any warrant, monition or perfonal decree in the court of Admiralty, except in fuits for the payment of feamens wages.

Refolved, That it is the opinion of this committee, that a duty of 2s. 6d. be paid for every skin or piece of vellum or parchment, or piece or fheet of paper, on which thall be engroffed or written, during the time aforefaid, any indenture, leafe or deed poll not hereby otherwife charged, except indentures for binding poor parish or other poor children, fupported by public or private charities, apprentices.
