By Mr. Hartman: Whereas the whole civilized workit has been shocked and appalled at the indignities and atrocities committed against the Jewish race living in the Empire of Russia—a peaceful and law abiding people, EXCHANGED Resolved (if the Senate concur), that?fie legislature of the state of New York extends its deepest sympathy to those afflicted in Russia, and to the whole Jewish race throughout the world, who suffer in common with their unfortunate brethren, and be it further Resolved, That a copy of these resolutions be forwarded to the Honorable Theodore Roosevelt, president of the United States, and to the Honorable Elihu Root, his secretary of state, for their information.
