PREFACE.

THIS volume was undertaken and prepared in the belief that, since the abolition of the Circuit Court, which had the exclusive jurisdiction of all PROBATE proceedings, and the transfer of such jurisdiction to the District Court, as reorganized under chapter 134, of the laws of 1886, a new and practical work on PROBATE PRACTICE, specially adapted to the new jurisdiction, and the law as now in force, accompanied with suitable forms and instructions, for this branch of practice, would be found helpful to the practitioner and officers of the court. To that end it is respectfully submitted.
