SECTION IX.

THOSE things which proceed out of the mouth come forth from the heart, and they defile the man. evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies. These are the things which defile the man; but to eat with unwashen hands defileth not a man. * And Jesus called a little child unto him, and set him in the midst of them: and said, Verily I say unto you, except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven. Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven.†

THE Son of Man is come to save that which was lost. How, think ye? SECTION VIII.

BEWARE of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves: ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? Even so every good tree

bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit, is hewn down, and cast into the fire. Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them. Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
