"Defiance," copyrighted by Aerne & Nordstrom, received first prize at the Photographers' convention of the Pacific Northwest, held in Portland, October 3, 4 and 5. It was also exhibited at the National photographers' convention, recently held at Detroit, Mich., where no prizes were given. In the opinion of the critics it was the best picture of its kind ever sent to the National convention, The Adoration of the Kings.
