The principall's accompts from Michaelmes, 1654, to Michaelmes, 1656, et ultra, the last particular being April 4, 1657, .. are found to be rightlie calculated, and the compter his charge to exceed his discharge by six hundred three score and eightene pounds and sixteen shillings Scottish money which sowme . . . the colledge does discharge the principall, Mr.

John Row, of it, and discharges also all his heirs, executors, or intromittors of the foresaid sowme, .. by reasone that he, the said principall is, by the judges their order of date at Edinburgh, 23rd day of Januare, 165, assigned unto eight hundreth merks per annum, out of the vacant stipend in the Old Towne of Aberdene. And Mr. Wm. Strachan's relict haveing gotten Whitsunday and Martinmas fiftie-three, Whitsunday and Martinmas fiftie-foure, there will rest to the principall Whitsunday and Martinmas fifty-fyve and fiftie-sixe, inde one thousand three score sixe pounds thrittene shillings four pennies Scottish; whereof the colledge allows to the principall the abovesaid £678 16s. as a part of that sowme of £1066 13s. 4d., according to their determination at their meeting, March 19, 1657; resolving also to pay the principall the rest of that sowme, viz., £387 17s. 4d. Scottish, provyded the Old Toune get a secund minister, and provyded the principall do not any further, after Martinmas fiftie-sixe, improve his order, but assigne the colledge to it: likeas he, by thir presents, does assigne the colledge to it, and has delyvered to them the said warrand or order. In testimonie quherof, thir presents are subscryved by the wholl members of the said colledge, at the saids king's colledge, the 20th day of Aprile M vie and fiftie and seven yeeres.
