PREFACE.

The second volume of our Annual "Retrospect of Homeopathic Literature," covering the year 1876, is now finished. The work has not been so perfectly done as we could wish, but we have used our utmost endeavor to have it so. It is not an easy matter to get just the right kind of co-workers! Some are too prolix, and others are too brief, consequently we have to find out by experience who can best do the kind of work we want. We have tried to present in this volume, briefly and concisely, a fair excerpt of our literature, and as far as possible in the language of the authors.
