BE IT REMEMBERED, That on this first day of May, in the fifty-fourth year of ********* the independence of the United States of America, JOHN J. HARROD, L. S. of the said District, hath deposited in this office the title of a book, the ********* right whereof he claims as proprietor, in the words following, to wit: The Academical Reader, comprising Selections from the most Admired Authors, designed to promote the love of Virtue, Piety, and Patriotism; to assist the student to read with propriety, converse with fluency and ease, and to speak in public with dignity and effect.
