ET the Church of England flourish, that is, all the different Methods of Religion in this Iland; for as the Church of Chrift is the Kingdom of Chrift, fo the Church of England is the Kingdom of England: May the afcribe all her Glory to a Parliamentary Right, more than to her Purity and Innocence, either in Doctrine or Difcipline. 1 am an Occafional Member, and perhaps may be faved in her Bofom: But for fear, I have Charity, I have Tenderness for other Communions, which I believe as Pure as fhe, because they ftand upon the fame Foot, and are establish'd by Law. Pray not for the Prelates. for the Bishops, the

Superintendents, the Overfeers of the Flock, and in them for the Presbyters and the Presbyterians too. Give them Money to make them Hofpitable to poor conver ted Sinners: Give them Grace not to Lord it over the Presbyters their Equals:

Give them Humility, that that they may remember the Poor, the Meek, the Defpifed Fishermen and Tent-Makers, from whom they pretend to defcend; and that they may ftand more upon Moderation and Charity, than upon a longwinded Welsh Pedigree of uninterrupted Succeffion from Lord Almighty knows

Never caft my Eye upon a Mountebank in Smithfield, but immediately fancy my felf in East-Cheap at an Evening Lecture; for the Empirick, and the Quack Divine, feem to me fo nearly related, that the mistake is very pardonable, and one cannot without Difficulty make any remarkable Distinction between them: The Embroider'd Bully upon the Stage you obferve amufing the Gaping Croud with Folly, Nonfenfe, and Noife, bawling till he is Black in the Face, and forcing his Lungs upon the Stretch to applaud his Art and recommend his Medicines; he offers you a Cure for all Diftempers from the Foot to the Crown:
