W. B. SMITH in account with FIRST MAINE CAVALRY ASSOCIATION. The City Government generously gave the Association the gratuitous use of the magnificent City Hall. Comrade Bradbury, with his characteristic generosity, donated the use of his elegant carriages for the procession. J. P. CILLEY in account with FIRST MAINE CAVALRY ASSOCIATION. The thanks of the association are due to those members who, each year, whether present or absent, pay their regular annual dues. If a few more would thus contribute, our financial matters would run smoothly and successfully. Two things the treasurer would earnestly urge, that each member keep him informed concerning his post office address, and that each member should procure and preserve, for binding, a full set of the reunion proceedings. The value of these pamphlets will increase each year and a full set will, ere many years, be eagerly sought and carefully treasured as something that cannot be purchased or duplicated. J. P. CILLEY, Treasurer. J. P. CILLEY in account with FIRST MAINE CAVALRY ASSOCIATION. The above balance being insufficient to print the proceedings of Lewiston, 1879, and Pittsfield, 1880, a call for contributions was made with the following result: Frank B. Neal, of Fairfield, and W. R. Merrill, of Manchester, presented copies of 1872 Proceedings, and J. P. Cilley two copies of 1873. These four copies were sold to Gen. Smith and Maj. Thaxter and credited in their contributions. |
