Fifth. To pay J. M. Calloway fees as Clerk and Master of Pulaski Chancery Court, the sum of seven hundred and fiftysix dollars and seventy-seven cents, ($756. 77).

Sixth. To pay fees of S. R. Brown as Clerk of the Pulaski Chancery Court, as per certified account on file in the Anditor's office, the sum of one hundred and twenty nine-dollars, ($129.00).

Seventh. To pay costs in case of A. M. and J. W. Crow as administrator of J. W. Crow, deceased vs. A. W. Files as Auditor of State in Pulaski Circuit and Supreme Courts for mandamus, wherein judgment was rendered against the Auditor ordering mandamus, and against the State for the costs, the sum of twenty-eight dollars and twenty cents, ($28.20).

Eighth. To Gazette Printing Company, publishing Commissioner's sale of Internal Improvement lands under decree of Pulaski Chancery Court, per certified account filed in Auditor's office, the sum of three hundred and twenty-five dollars and fifty cents, ($325.50).

Ninth. A. M. Woodruff, for printing 1000 extra copies of Revenue Act of 1883, by order of Secretary of State, per account in Auditor's office, the sum of one hundred and fifty-five dollars and forty-five cents, ($155.45).

Tenth. Mitchell & Bettis, for printing briefs in case of State vs. Memphis & Little Rock Railroad, per account in Auditor's Office, the sum of twenty-three dollars, ($23.00).

BLIND INSTITUTE.

Eleventh. A. C. Blakelee, services as music teacher in the Blind School, per certified account in Auditor's office, the sum of sixty-six dollars and sixty-five cents, ($66.65).

Twelfth. Miss L. E. Brown, services as teacher in said institute, balance due per account in Auditor's office, the sum of sixty-six dollars and sixty-five cents, ($66.65).

Thirteenth. Miss Sallie L. Wright for services as teacher in said institute, per account in Auditor's office, the sum of sixty-six dollars and sixty-five cents, ($66.65).

Fourteenth. Otis Patton, services as Superintendent of Blind Institute, for quarter ending 31st of Decemebr, 1884, three hundred and seventy-five dollars, ($375.00).

Fifteenth. R. D. Murphy, pay as member of the General Assembly, twelve dollars, ($12.00).

EXECUTIVE DEPARTMENT.

Sixteenth. Rent of Governor's mansion, balance three hundred and twenty-five dollars, ($325.00).

Seventeenth. Fuel and lights, for coal, gas and engineer, four hundred dollars, ($400.00).

Eighteenth. Contingent expenses of office of Secretary of State, the sum of fifty dollars, ($50.00).

Nineteenth. Contingent expenses of the Governor's office, eleven dollars, ($11.00).

Twentieth. Fees of Register and Receiver of Land office at Dardanelle for list of taxable lands, the sum of thirty-nine and forty one-hundredths dollars, ($39.40).

COUNTY CLERK FEES.

Twenty-first. Jacob Sharp, as Clerk of Craighead County, for certifying list of forfeited lands of 1884, two and fifty onehundredths dollars, ($2.50).

Twenty-second. Ham O. Williams, for similar services in Pulaski County, two dollars and fifty cents, ($2.50).

Twenty-third. J. M. Levesque, as Clerk of Cross County, for similar services, two dollars and fifty cents, ($2.50).

SEC. 2. This Act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.

ACT CXXIV.

AN ACT to Change the time for Holding the Circuit Courts in the Eighth Judicial Circuit.

SECTION.

1. Changes time of holding Circuit Court in Eighth Judicial Circuit.

2. Makes all writs and processes returnable, to conform to the provisions of this Act.

3. Repeals all conflicting laws, and Act in force from May 1, 1887.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Arkansas:

SECTION I. That the regular terms of the Circuit Court of the Eighth Judicial Circuit, of this State, after the spring term thereof, in the year eighteen hundred and eighty-seven (1887), shall commence and be held as follows: In the County of Howard on the second (2d) Mondays in January and July in each year. In the County of Pike on the fourth (4th) Mondays in January and July in each year. In the County of Clark on the third (3d) Monday after the second (2d) Monday in January and July in each year. In the County of Montgomery on the sixth (6th) Monday after the second (2d) Monday in January and July in each year. In the County of Polk on the seventh (7th) Monday after the second (2d) Monday in January, and the eighth (8th) Monday after the (2d) Monday in July in each year. In the County of Sevier on the eighth (8th) Monday after the second (2d) Mondays in January, and ninth (9th) Monday after the second (2d) Mondays in July in each year. In the County of Little River on the tenth (10th) Monday after the second (2d) Mondays in January, and eleventh (11th) Monday after the second (2d) Mondays in July in each year.

SEC. 2. That all writs, processes and other proceedings now returnable to the respective Courts herein named, at any other time shall be returnable at the times fixed by this Act.

SEC. 6. That all laws and parts of laws in conflict with this Act be, and the same are hereby repealed, and this Act shall take effect and be in force from and after the first day of May eighteen hundred and eighty-seven.

ACT CXXV.

AN ACT Appropriating Forty-two Hundred and Seventy-nine Dollars to Defray the Expenses of the Deaf Mute Institute for the Months of January, February and March, A. D. 1887.

SECTION.

1 Appropriates money for expenses.

2. Act in force from passage.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Arkansas.

SECTION I. That the following sums of money are hereby appropriated out of any money in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated, for the support and maintenance of the Arkansas Deaf Mute Institute for three months, beginning on the first day of January, eighteen hundred and eighty-seven (1887), and ending on the thirty-first day of March, eighteen hundred and eighty-seven (1887), the sum of forty-two hundred and seventy-nine dollars ($4279.00), as follows: First to pay salary of Principal, due April 1, three hundred dollars ($300.00); second, for pay of Matron, one hundred and twenty-five dollars ($125,00); third, for the pay of head teacher (non-resident), the sum of two hundred and fifty dollars ($250.00); fourth, for the pay of four teachers, the sum of four hundred dollars. ($400.00); fifth, for pay of teacher of Articulation, the sum of one hundred and fifty dollars ($150.00); sixth, for the pay of attendant physician, the sum of one hundred dollars ($100.00); seventh, for the pay of instructor in the printing office, one hundred and twenty-five dollars ($125.00); eighth, for pay of instructor in the shoe shop, one hundred dollars ($100.00); ninth, for pay of Board of Directors, the sum of fifty-four doldollars ($54.00); tenth, to pay current expense of each pupil in attendance, the sum of twenty-five dollars ($25.00), payable in monthly installments, not to exceed the sum of twenty-six hundred and seventy-five dollars ($2675.00); Provided, That in case the parents or guardians of any pupil shall pay, in whole

or in part, for the board and tuition of such pupil, the amount paid shall be deducted from the twenty-five dollars ($25.00) appropriated by this Act.

ACT CXXVI.

AN ACT to Provide for Separate Tax-Books in Counties Having Two Judicial Districts.

SECTION.

1. County clerk to produce tax-books.

2. To what counties it applies.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Arkansas:

SECTION I. That hereafter the County Clerk of the Counties in this State having two Judicial Districts shall prepare in the manner now prescribed by law a set of tax-books for each District; and the law governing the preparation, use and care of the said set of tax-books, shall be the same as the law now is regulating tax-books.

SEC. 2. This Act shall not apply to any County unless the County Judge of said County shall order said tax-books to be made.

ACT CXXVII.

AN ACT to Provide for Taxing Up as Costs a Reasonable Attorney's Fee in Certain Actions and Suits against Railroad Companies, and for other purposes.

SECTION.

1. Attorney fees to be taxed as costs in certain cases.

2. Conflicting laws repealed; act in force from passage.
