ACT CIII.

AN ACT to Change the Boundary Between the Counties of Woodruff and White Counties.

SECTION,

1. Defines boundary lines between the Counties of Woodruff and White.

2. Conflicting laws repealed and act in force from passage.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Arkansas:

SECTION I. That the boundary line between Woodruff and White Counties, be and the same is hereby established as follows, to wit:

Beginning at a point on White River, where the section line between Sections Twenty-six and Twenty-seven in Township eight (8) north, range (4) four west, intersects the same; thence south to the southwest corner of Section Thirty-five (35) in the same township and range; thence east to White River. All that portion of territory lying between said line and White River is hereby detached from White County and attached to, and shall hereafter be a part of Woodruff County.

SEC. 2. Be it further enacted, That all laws in conflict with this Act be, and the same are hereby repealed, and that this Act take effect and be in force from and after its passage Approved March 31, 1887.

AN ACT to Limit the Time for Bringing Suits on Mortgages.

SECTION.

1. Limits time for bringing suits on mortgages or deeds of trust.

SECTION 1. That in suits to foreclose or enforce mortgages or deeds of trust, it shall be a sufficient defense that they have not been brought within the period of limitation prescribed by law for a suit on the debt or liability for the securities of which they were given.

AN ACT to Prohibit the Leaving of Cotton Seed Unprotected from Swine.

SECTION.

Declared a misdemeanor for persons owning or controlling cotton seed to allow same accessible to swine; Penalty; exceptions.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Arkansas:

SECTION I. That any person or persons owning or controlling cotton seed, who shall leave the same unprotected, and in such manner as to be accessible to swine running at large, shall be guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction thereof shall be fined in any sum not less than ten ($10) nor more than twenty-five ($25) dollars. The provisions of this Act shall not apply in cases where swine trespass within enclosures, or where cotton seed are accidentally scattered in hauling them.

SEC. 2.

This Act shall take effect and be in force from and after six months from its approval.

AN ACT to Amend Section 586 of Mansfield's Digest.

SECTION.

1. Amends Section 586, of Mansfield's Digest.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Arkansas:

SECTION 1. That Section 586, of Mansfield's Digest be amended so as to read as follows:

Every Constable shall within thirty days after his election or appointment, enter into bond to the State of Arkansas, with good and sufficient securities, in any sum not less than five hundred nor more than five thousand dollars, conditioned that he will execute all process to him directed and delivered, and pay over all moneys received by him by virtue of his office, and in every respect discharge all the duties of Constable according to law.

SEC. 2.

That this Act take effect and be in force from and after its passage.

ACT CVII.

AN ACT to Amend Section One Thousand Three Hundred and Ninety-nine of Mansfield's Digest.

SECTION.

1. Amend Section 1399 of Mansfield's Digest.

2. Act in force from passage.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Arkansas:

SECTION I. That Section 1399, of Mansfield's Digest be and the same is hereby amended so as to read as follows:

SEC. 1399. Whenever it shall happen that the time for holding the County Court and the Circuit Court in any County shall be on the same day, the County Judge shall not commence his Court until two weeks thereafter; Provided, This Section shall not apply to Counties having separate County Clerks, as provided for in Section 19, Article 7, of the Constitution of this State.

SEC. 2. This Act shall take effect from its passage.

ACT CVIII.

AN ACT to Repeal An Act Entitled An Act to Prevent the Sale of Alcoholic Spirits or Vinous Liquors Within a Distance of Two Miles of the Site of Judson University, in White County, Arkansas.

SECTION.

1. Repeals an act, approved February 27, 1875, to prevent the sale of intoxicating liquors within two (2) miles of Judson University

Be it Enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Arkansas.

SECTION I. That the Act entitled "An Act to prevent the sale of alcoholic spirits or vinous liquors within a distance of two miles of the site of Judson University, White County, approved February the 27th, 1885, be and the same is hereby repealed.

SEC. 2. That this Act take effect from and after its passage. Approved March 31, 1887.

ACT CIX.

AN ACT to Amend Section Four (4) of an Act Entitled An Act to Create the Fourteenth Judicial Circuit of the State of Arkansas, to Change the Boundaries of the Third and Fourth Judicial Circuits, to Fix the Time For Holding the Courts Therein, and for other Purposes. Approved March 3, A. D., 1887. SECTION

1. Amends section four (4) of an act approved March 3, 1887, creating the fourteenth (14) Judicial Circuit, and fines the time of holding Circuit Courts in the third and fourth Judicial circuits.

2 Conflicting laws repealed; Act in force from second Monday in June, 1887.
