AN ACT making an appropriation for the repair of the Michigan soldiers and sailors' monument at Detroit, and to provide a fund

for its care and preservation.

SECTION 1. The People of the State of Michigan enact, That there Appropriation of is hereby appropriated for the repair of the railing and foundation $350.00. thereof surrounding the soldiers and sailors' monument in the city of Detroit, the sum of three hundred and fifty dollars, or so much thereof as may be necessary, which sum the State treasurer is authorized and required to pay out of the general fund in the treasury, from any moneys now in said fund not otherwise appropriated, to the treasurer of the said monument association, upon the requisition of the president and the receipt of the treasurer thereof.

SEC. 2. For the care and preservation of said monument and its Appropriation of appurtenances, and for current expenses connected therewith, a $100.00 per sum not exceeding one hundred dollars in each year is hereby appropriated, which sum, or so much thereof as may be necessary, shall be paid annually in the month of September out of the general fund by the State treasurer to the chairman of the executive committee of said monument association, upon requisition, approved by the president.

Ordered to take immediate effect.

SECTION 1.
