1. Rejoice in the Lord, O ye righteous for it becometh well the just to be thankful.

2. Praise the Lord with harp : sing praises unto him with the lute and instrument of ten strings.

3. Sing unto the Lord a new song: sing praises lustily unto him with a good courage.

4. For the word of the Lord is true and all his works are faithful.

32. Sing unto God, O ye kingdoms of the earth: O sing praises unto the Lord.

33. Who sitteth in the heavens over all: lo he doth send out his voice, yea, and that a mighty

voice.

34. Ascribe ye the power to God over Israel: his worship and strength is in the clouds.

35. O God, wonderful art thou in thy holy places: even the God of Israel; he will give strength and power unto his people; blessed be God. Amen. Croft.

1. Sing praises to the Lord, O ye saints of his : and give thanks to him for a remembrance of his holiness.

5. For his wrath endures but for a moment, and in his favour is life: heaviness may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.

PSALM XXIV. SOLO TENOR.

1. The earth is the Lord's, and all that therein is the compass of the world, and all that dwell therein.

2. For he hath founded it upon the seas and prepared it upon the floods.

3. Who shall ascend into the hill of the Lord: or who shall rise up in his holy place?

4. Even he that hath clean hands, and a pure heart: that hath not lift up his mind unto vanity, nor sworn to deceive his neighbour.

5. He shall receive the blessing from the Lord: and righteousness from the God of his salvation.

FULL, FOUR VOICES.

6. This is the generation of them that seek him: even of them that seek thy face, O Jacob.

SOLO TENOR.

7. Lift up your heads, O ye gates, and be ye lift up, ye everlasting doors: and the King of glory shall come in.

8. Who is the King of glory? it is the Lord strong and mighty: even the Lord mighty in, battle.

1. The Lord is my light, and my salvation; whom then shall I fear: the Lord is the strength of my life, of whom then shall I be afraid?

2. When the wicked, even mine enemies, and my foes, came upon me to eat up my flesh: they stumbled and fell.

3. Though an host of men were laid against me, yet shall not my heart be afraid and though there rose up war against me, yet will I put my trust in him.

134.

VERSE, COUNTER

1. The souls of the righteous are in the hand of God, and there shall no torment touch them. 2. In the sight of the unwise they seem to die; and their departure is taken for misery;

3. And their going from us to be their destruction but they are in peace.

SOLO TENOR.

4. For though they be punished in the sight of men, yet is their hope full of immortality.

5. And having been a little chastised, they shall be greatly rewarded; for God proved them, and found them worthy of himself.

SOLO BASS.

6. As gold in the furnace hath he tried them, and received them as burnt offerings.

7. In the day of their visitation they shall shine, and run to and fro, like sparks among the stubble.

VERSE, THREE VOICES; AND FULL.

8. They shall judge the nations, and have dominion over the people, and their Lord shall reign for ever.
