SUGAR.-There has been a better supply of Muscovades in the market this week; the fine descriptions fully support the late prices; the brown qualities continue heavy, and are offered on rather lower terms without facilitating sales. The business done in refined goods has been considerable: several extensive shipping houses have purchased freely, but no alteration in the prices can be stated: the supply of refined at market is still limited.-Molasses are not in request, the prices are declining. There is little doing in Foreign Sugars. COFFEE. The quantity of Coffee brought forward this week hy public sale has been very limited;, the demand has however been very trivial, owing to unfavour able reports from the continental markets: the prices generally may be quoted at a reduction of 2s. per cwt. OIL.-Greenland Oil continues very heavy only small parcels are disposed of at our quotations.-Southern had given way considerably; several parcels had been disposed of 21, a 31 under our quotations, but an advance has since taken place. The public sale of Oil was chiefly, we believe, 1818. taken in, Sperm at 701., and it is stated lower prices would be accepted. RUM, BRANDY, and HOLLANDS. There has been little business done in Rums by private contract. This forenoon a public sale was brought forward, it consisted of 172 puncheons Jamaica, the greater propor tion of inferior qualities; the prices were in consequence rather under the market currency-The finer descriptions of Brandy are enquired after, and are advancing; the inferior descriptions are quoted at a small decline. In refined the business done lately has been extensive; the prices are 2s. higher since Friday last; the demand for Lumps and Crushed Sugars has been considerable.Molasses are in improved demand at an advancing currency. COFFEE. There were great speculations in the week in Coffee, which added to large purchases made by the shippers, occa sioned an advance of 8s. to 9s. per cwt. OIL.-The arrival of a full ship from the Greenland fishery at so early a period, and the report of the success of the other vessels being rather favourable, has occasioned a considerable depression in the prices of Greenland Oil; parcels here, and cargoes for arrival, offer about our quotations.Southern Oil is also a shade lower, and heavy. RICE. In consequence of the great advance of the Corn-market, there has been a brisk demand for Rice; the prices rise with rapidity. East India, previous to this morning's sales, went off readily at the advance of 3s. to 4s. on the previous prices: Carolina, selling in bond, at 37s. to 40s.
