This is the grandest collection of engraved portraits ever published in this country, and original subscription copies have been at a premium. The folio series is easily distinguished from the octavo and quarto editions, the portraits being on a much larger scale, engraved on copper instead of steel, and of superior execution. This work can never be depreciated by succeeding impressions, as the coppers were regularly destroyed after the publication of each number.
