The committee appointed by a joint resolution of the legisla ture, to examine into the affairs and condition of the Bank of Macomb county and Oakland county bank, have the honor to communicate a report in part of the result of their investigation, which is herewith transmitted. In compliance with the joint resolution of the legislature of February instant, the undersigned visited the banking-house of the Oakland county bank, on the 6th day of the present month, and made an examination into the affairs and condition of the said institution. This bank purports to have been organized under the provisions of a charter granted by the legislature of this state, approved March 28, 1836, entitled "An act to incorporate the Oakland county bank."
