On the arrival at Calcutta of the Indiaman on board which Mrs. Pipes had embarked, she learnt that the usual port of rendezvous for the Chance, was the Cape of Good Hope. This induced her, with as little delay as possible, to procure a passage in the Hoogly, where, as my readers know, destiny had also placed poor Mrs.
