CHAPTER XXXV.

An Act in addition to an Act relating to the Agricultural
College Fund.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in
General Assembly convened:

SECTION 1. The treasurer and the commissioner of the school Investment of fund are hereby authorized to invest any money now in their Agricultural hands, or that may hereafter come into their hands, belonging to Gen. Stat., p. the principal of the Agricultural College Fund of this state, in addition to the present investments allowed by law, in any securities except personal securities, in which by law the savings banks of this state may invest.

SEC. 2. This act shall take effect from its passage.

CHAPTER XXXVI.

An Act relating to Fishing in Lake Wononscopomoc and Lake
Washinee.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in

CHAPTER XXXVIII.

An Act for the Protection of Eels.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in
General Assembly convened:

Any person who shall set or use any eel pot, trap, net, seine, weir, pound, or other contrivance for the catching of eels, or shall catch or take eels otherwise than by a hook and line or spear, in any of the waters adjacent to or within the towns of Waterford, East Lyme, or Clinton, shall be fined not exceeding seven dollars, or be imprisoned not exceeding thirty days, or both. Approved, March 28, 1883.

CHAPTER XXXIX.

An Act regulating Fishing in Mill River in the Town of
Fairfield.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in
General Assembly convened:

SECTION 1. No person shall set or draw any net or seine, draft or drag-net, in that part of Mill River in the town of Fairfield which is between Jellift's Dam, so called, and the southwestern extremity of the breakwater at the mouth of said river, with a mesh less than two and a half inches square.

SEC. 2. Every person who shall violate this act shall be fined not less than twenty-five nor more than one hundred dollars, or imprisoned not more than sixty days, or both.

SEC. 3. Prosecutions for violations of this act may be determined by a justice of the peace.

CHAPTER XL.

An Act concerning the Duties of Officers of School Districts.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in
General Assembly convened:

An Act relating to Shell-fish Grounds.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in

Every person who shall wilfully deposit or assist in depositing fish, periwinkle, any star fish, periwinkle, or other creature injurious to or clam grounds. destructive of oysters or clams, upon any oyster or clam bed, or in the waters above any such bed, shall be punished by a fine of not less than one hundred nor more than five hundred dollars, or by imprisonment not less than three months nor more than one year, or by such fine and imprisonment both. An Act regulating Fishing in Marsh Lake.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in

Every person who shall take fish of any kind from Marsh Lake, in the towns of Bristol and Plymouth, between the fifteenth day of November and the first day of April during the three years succeeding the passage of this act, shall be fined not more than seven dollars, or be imprisoned not more than thirty days, or both. CHAPTER XLV.

An Act relating to Fishing in West Hill Pond.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in
General Assembly convened:

Fishing in SECTION 1. No person shall take any black bass from West in Barkhamsted Hill pond, in the towns of New Hartford and Barkhamsted, between April thirtieth and June tenth, nor at any other time in any manner except with hook and line with a bait or artificial fly. SEC. 2. Any person who shall violate the provisions of this act shall be fined not exceeding seven dollars or imprisoned not exceeding thirty days, or both.

Supreme Court of Errors.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in

CHAPTER XLVII.

An Act concerning Courts in Tolland County.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in
General Assembly convened:

SECTION 1. At any term of the superior court in Tolland Superior court county, the judge holding such court may adjourn the hearing of may be held in any court cause pending therein, by agreement of the parties Vernon or thereto, from Tolland to Rockville, in the town of Vernon, or to Stafford Springs, in the town of Stafford.
